Hi guys, I recently returned to IRO after AFK about 2 years.

What are the shoes and accessories for DK now?

I'm using Temporal ring & light speed DEX shoes + PDM

 

Are Rune Greaves and YSF Rings the most ideal gears for RK now?

I've also noticed it's much easier to reach the maximum dmg per hit using DB with the new ocps (fafnir set, eater spear etc), then do I really need YSF Rings and Rune Greaves? They're pretty expensive now lol

Depending on how you want to do DB. 

 

If you care about constant casting for DB in a sec, you need to verify your network speed with your VCT to reach constant cast.

 

If you are OK to make DB 1 at a time, just push up the DB % damage. 

 

In summary, YSF give tons of damage while Rune Greaves is just an option to reduce ACD. Meanwhile, using Rune Greaves will most likely make your stats over too much for controlling the VCT to be manageable.

since you were gone the physical damage cap got upped from 21m to about 30m, even though the display limit is still 1m. if you're still easily hitting the damage cap and not just the display cap then i guess you can start swapping out dps gears for item drop and exp gear

Yes. Only reason to stay with those gears is you can't afford ysf rings, rune greaves and rune helm. 

Don't listen to others who say it's an equal alternative. It's not a choice between spammability and damage. You can still reach 100% acd, zero FCT or near insta-cast with those while doubling or tripling your damage if budget is not a concern.
