To the developers, why do you dislike Windhawk this much?

While you make some good points about Gandiva vs Abydos, because Abydos is really strong, you also have to remember that Rangers+ get No Limits which is probably the strongest self-buff in RO. We also get easy elemental switching via arrows or can use convertors if needed. Does that make up for some of the power-boosting shields? Maybe not, but it's quite easy to level Rangers with lower level gear compared to many other classes and it's easy to hit 1-shot level damage with even just moderate gear.
The Royal Payon Cape argument is only valid if you are running a Arrow Storm build, which isn't an endgame build. If you did run that build, I doubt it would lose to Royal Alberta when fully upgraded for the skill mod % alone. I haven't tested Royal Alberta yet (just released) but Royal Prontera Cape is what you'd want as a Wind Hawk for FAS or Crescive Bolt anyway. If you do stick with Royal Payon, the Abysmal Merman card gives a great bonus with Abysmal King Dramoh for Crit Damage for the current endgame builds so that's not bad either.
I get where you're coming from but Wind Hawks are plenty strong with what's available to them. Sadly, not all classes get the EM treatment lol.

I don’t think the skill No Limit is as powerful a buff as people make it out to be for Windhawk. Have you ever played Windhawk without using No Limit? It’s incredibly weak, I think it’s just a skill that helps Windhawk match the damage of other classes right now.
As for the equipment used for general leveling, I think every class has been around the same price for quite a long time.
The combo of Abysmal Merman card with Abysmal King Dramoh is something that’s not really used in the endgame because the best hat for Windhawk right now is Snake Queen Crown, which requires a combo with cards in both hat slots, and yes, it’s a better combo than the previous one.
Regarding the Royal Alberta Cape, if you take a moment to compare, you’ll see that it solves many of Windhawk's issues. It helps with boss card combos that can remove the penalty for size attack, and the combo also frees up the card slot in the shoes, allowing you to insert powerful cards like the Despair God Morocc Card. With this, it's already more powerful than the Royal Payon Cape.
I can say that the most powerful skill for Windhawk right now is the auto-attack Hawk Rush, not FAS or Crescive Bolt.
I don’t ask for much, just for the developers to make items that don’t seem too strange like I’ve explained. Almost none of Windhawk’s items make me feel like the developers have something against this class. Or would you say that making Ancient Ranger Shoes to combo with Angry Moonlight Flower Card isn’t strange, especially with such a rare card in the server?
I’ve been curious about this for years, and that's why I’m bringing it up now.
Thanks for taking the time to discuss this with me.

I feel like I have to disagree about No Limits. With the same budget level of gear (especially f2p), a Ranger is much stronger than others at the same levels -- especially early on. It's why Rangers and Rune Knights are most often suggested for beginner classes from what I have seen. And while I do have strong gear at my level, I can 1-shot enemies in 230+ zones without using No Limits which is all one needs to level effectively in RO... so I guess it boils down to a budget perspective more than a "can WH keep up?" one.
Where are you getting the Snake Queen Crown as BiS? For what build? While it is a solid damage-increasing headgear for many classes, it is a bit general compared to, say, Thanatos Shooter-LT/AD combo+Memento (Windhawk) for CB/FAS or Gandiva/Old Camo Bunny+DocArcher combo for FAS. That with Ancient Morroc Noble Jewelry with Pharaoh/Marduk (since we're talking MVP cards here) provides better output for those builds. Going Thanatos also eliminates the size penalty issue with proper enchant. But since MVP cards are in the minority's budget, that's why AbMerman+AbDramoh was a mentioned option for most players since FAS/CB are the common builds unless they can't leave Arrow Storm.
Which brings me to the point about Wind Hawk Rush being the most powerful build? Maybe I haven't been keeping up to date in the proper channels but where is this statement based on? Are there build videos/discussions somewhere showcasing this? I don't hear anyone discussing this in any meaningful way that I would consider it the best WH build... I am not denying that Royal Alberta has some better overall LR bonuses, but unless I am missing something it seems more a niche case compared to what most WH players run for builds (which would benefit more from Royal Prontera).
Can agree that a rare Illusion MVP Card was a bizarre choice for the shoes, but they put Turtle General for a Nightwatch Cape so who knows anymore lol.
I always like a good conversation about builds/gear so happy to discuss!

This is my gear now, which is why I have a general idea of which skill is the most powerful right now.
With this build, I can shoot Crescive Bolt up to around 700-800m when the monster is weak to level 4 elements. If I switch armor, it might go up to 1km, but it still doesn't compare to the auto attack damage of Hawk Rush. With just one hit, it can deal over 2km in total damage .But, these builds still aren't worth the price you have to pay.
I love and understand the class I’ve been playing for years.I always say that I don't want too much, I just want the gear to look fine and not strange. Maybe I’m wrong, but this is my experiment along with some feedback from other players using different gear.

Wow, I had no idea HR could be that strong (and just read that it can crit as well lol) since 2b per proc sounds wild! Do you have any videos of this so I can see it in action/how it works, out of curiosity? If I switch over my CRT to CON, I can hit 1b with CB when my Bapho procs the Royal Prontera buff but dang. I assume you are 250 so you don't need AOE for leveling, etc?
Also, mind if I ask what cards you're running in Armor and Garment?

The mechanics of the Hawk Rush skill are quite random in that for each hit, there’s a chance the Hawk Rush will trigger 0-4 times. This means that if we shoot Hawk Rush at 500m, it can deal damage up to 2km. This doesn’t even include other skills from auto-attack like Aimed Bolt, which can deal damage over 300m. It makes the damage very high compared to other skills that currently have cooldowns.
