I prefer the Exp event. You can level anywhere, it's not dictated by a hat, and you're not cramming an entire server into 1 dungeon.

i think that generally the only people who really need exp events are high level players, and 99ing players. for the 99ing players, ice titans would really be much more helpful. but the 2x exp is great for 100+ i would imagine. why isn't ice titans a permaquest?

The ID3 event was good because party's were formed again and people were having fun playing in party's. The Dragon event there were not many party's at all as good as none. Now with this event people mostly solo or are with a personal healer. The problem is if you're lvl 140 it's hard to find a share party or a healer that can come along. So I prefer the ID3 event because it's more fun to play in a party.

Probably most fun thing I did in RO in a long time was the pre-renewal TI event. Did the ID and AL events too, but for some reason TI was the most fun.

I don't really care for experience increase events in renewal personally, just because leveling is still mind-numbingly boring and it always reminds me of how depressing it is that these are only temp rates.

But now partying is crap, I don't like being forced to go to certain maps, and it's a pain to compete with crowds.

I most definitely prefer EXP events. Too many of either probably makes the normal rates feel slower though I think. =( They need to start finding new ways to spoil their players, hehe.

I don't know how people find exp events 'fun'. Basically an exp event is: "do everything you do exactly like everyday you do, but hey, now only for half the time!"... that isn't my idea of fun, but I guess some people find it fun to not be forced to grind on the same monsters more time xP

And generally, I don't find it true the "no need to sqeeze in one map with many other players". Are there really that many options for higher levels? I found that my leveling map was a bit more crowded than usual instead ^^;

However, I felt this event was a bit better than post renewal turn ins, simply because post renewal turn ins had the bad points of turn ins (lots of people clogged in the same map, KSing, players abusing skills with a wider selection of skills to abuse now) minus some of the nice points of prerenewal turn ins (exp comes from killing, not from turn in, monsters die in a second, no needto party, giant fwings+ dragging alts 1shoting mobs on almost any chara)...

The most fun in a long time were the prerenewal turn ins, because people worked togheter, and it was indeed an event where we did something different for a change. The rewards were nice too, but the main point was that we didn't just do the same mindless grinding everyday as always, but something different you could do with friends.

I prefer this. though i wish i had more chance to get some leveling in. I did 99 my stalker and get shadow chaser though.

I love exp events on my solo characters and turn in partying for my support/squishy characters. I also love turn in events where I can put it all into job, because getting to job 70 is a nightmare sometimes

I actully like th turn in events better because i find myself actually lvling. With exp events i also seem to busy with other things to do anything. For example the last titans event i lvl'ed like 4-5 times base and like 8 job lvl's (dont know actual amount but it was alot). This exp event i got 1 base and 1 job and that was cause a friend was able to leech me for a bit.

Turn in events does not equal to dragons must or titans must, we can have good turn in events without seeing titans or dragons too. And at least for me, when maps are crowded in 2x exp I still find the ocassional sura who lightning rides my mob, or a bio who thinks KS cannon is cool... it hurts when you are a chaser and one of your traps is left there, with no monsters around to eat it, so you have to relog or wait for it to expire xP...


I would like for the next event is an idea like the CoD quest or the louyang festival: a repeatable quest with decent exp which invites you to do it with friends and move around places~
