I just hit 99/50 Blacksmith and I'm curious where can I go from here. I want to end up as a Mechanic.

I'm guessing I have to become a Mastersmith, then a Mechanic correct? I can't just go to Mechanic I guess, even though most of the guides say:

Requirements
Base Level: 99
Job Level: 50
Class: Blacksmith or Mastersmith
Item(s) (Consumed): 1 Reset Stone (Valkyrie only)

I just curious what rout I have to take to become a Mechanic.

You don't have to transcend if that's what you're asking. You can go to mechanic if you want, of course you'll be missing out on stats/skills.
