ranger are adaptable, once they get the balancing patch they will have camo which is basicly like cloak, and u can save skill points with cluster bomb and spam that.
that saying ranged damage as a whole is usless, even with max dex ur arrows can be reduced to nothing... i was critting 5's
basicly ur dealing with a low hp mob sinx that has more range and move use... needs a skillful player who doesnt mind dieing alot

I don't know about 20 traps all at once, but 8 or so Claymore Traps all at once in WoE is still enough to 1-shot many classes. Also easily stackable. If you don't do 10k+ per Claymore Trap as a high leveled Ranger, you're doing something wrong. *Are we going by the new WoE reductions or the old of 40% vs 60%?*
If this is pvp, then 4~5 traps is more than enough.
GL finding an empty 9x9 Area with the target in the center so that you can place your traps. <.< WoE maps rarely have that kind of space let alone without anything in it. Also just because you have a build that isn't a high int one doesn't mean that you are doing something wrong. Aside from Hunter traps, Rangers don't need int at all. It's not like there are any "must have" good armour cards. Plus are people really too stupid to have a fire armour hotkeyed for DBreath?

As stated here by many players, we don't want traps to be buffed. We's want our bow damage to hurt. At least make it so that it is worth sacrificing up to 100 def and Shield card for. An RG using a Zephyrus[3] will deal ~40% more damage than a Pike even with Inspiration and SS1 on. Zeph[3] is so much better than any of the 1h spears that it is worth sacrificing a shield if the RG chooses to. 2h Swords and Axes have the highest atk in game. Katar's double crit chance effect and automatic +20% more damage due to left hand add good appeal to the weapon. The only good thing a bow offers is its range but at the severe cost of damage, -25% damage on normal attacks in WoE and -50% on skills that only have 1200% (Snared Aimed Bolt) damage at most. It is bad to the point where using WStrike with Combat Knife and megs is our best Ranged DPS which will be true even after the Ranger patch. <.<

You wouldn't even need that many traps in pvp though. Alas, I too want to see Rangers do more damage with bow skills. Did they ever fix the broken overupgrade bow problem yet btw?

I'm the highest level in my guild by 30 levels, so I'm usually the only one surviving anything. :S

if anyone needs a buff its wanderers... they are greatly inferior to their male counterparts. You'll notice there is like 10 ranger and 5 bard threads for every 1 dancer thread-- because nobody plays them. /sigh. I am not sure how useful threads like these when people are only interested in the class they themselves play rather than the grand scheme.

If you read the posters comments for this video, the ability to stack traps has been taken off so what she is doing can no longer be done.

ranger's are weak, why? because of these:
1. hunter traps doesnt stack damage. max damage it can get is about 10k. u can out pot that.
2. ranger traps like detonator can damage upto 30k but that if i don't include the targets defence + the equip def.
3. ranger's traps are neutral, so it wont work on ghosts. even fire trap isnt fire anymore lmao.
4. ranger's detonator takes few sec to lay them all on ground, before they can detonate them, the target have 1s chance to flee.
5. fire traps may be able to spam under some1's feet, but not ice traps altho u can still put it under some1's feet.
6. fire traps damage is pottable, oh wait 7k damage? if u hit me and i hit u at same time, u kill me with OHKO but i wont kill u with OHKO. oh and it damages our allies and guild colleagues.
7. we dont want OHKO, we just want our bow skills unnerfed.
8. from hunter to sniper we use bows, then change to ranger = WTF whats the use of dex and luk now if we are going to poke enemies @ woe with a dagger? oh they will miss because we have high agi.......wtf they can still hit us?!? oh wait, its the renewal, sigh. wait i got falcon, huh?!? 1s delay of AF? lets try DS, huh .5s delay? thats new. oh wait lets try snipe, wtf another delay, we die before we hit. ah lets use camouflage, wtf it only last few sec, pif. wait what about my ranger bow skills, oh damage is too low...died. im still goin woe havent tried my warg, yea. warg bite nice he got immoblized, traps fast, huh I died how? oh f u c k, he spear boomerang me...lets try to sura, aha! huh?!? oh , he snapped...=.= no more skills, warg dash? nah, wont work. such useless character.
