I been playing on and off since 04 and not once have i ever ran into a GM (outside of events) until tonight. Just 10 minutes ago i got healed for about 10k+ and bombarded with buffs. Unfortunately i didn't take a screenshot cause it was unexpected =_='. Its almost 6 a.m. central time and it just goes to show you that they are alive beyond normal working hours. Oh & i hope they killed the bots on that map.

Ive met more GMs than other characters in this game.

Well funny thing was i didn't recognize it was a GM at first, he/she was standing near the edge of my client view and i saw the 150 aura. But with me being half sleep and desperately trying to lvl i kept on going without checking the name LOL (failure). It wasn't till i got the heal/sanctuary/& buffs a minute later when i got wide awake, this was near Rachel. They were in ghost mode & didn't stick around to talk to me ;_;

Completely unexpected to run into a GM around 6 in the morning, or 4 PST.

They were probably testing if you were a bot. Not sure what responce to do though, maybe "hello GM, thanks for the buffs!". Or maybe just stopping what you're doing is enough. I'd be worried about getting falsely banned by not giving some responce though.

First thing I'd probably do if that happened while I was leveling would be: "I KNOW IT'S YOU ODA!"

Years ago I was in Stings leveling a noob mage. I lagged... And got spear stabbed (as Stings LOVE to do)... Next thing I know A GM pops out of hide and Resurrects me. Now THAT was convenient!

oh wait I did meet one before, didn't acutally see him but, it was during ID3 event in pre-renewal. I was told to change my party name becuz it was too sexy. I even got muted by the GM for not doing it, which was funny until I realize it was for over 9000 minutes.

But just during the last recent titan event in id3, I see all sort of "ridiculous" party name with the world 'tit'an in it and nothing was being done about it. I guess they just didn't like me much back then.

But it's all good. =D

I met a GM at one of the lvl 99 race meet & greets in game once, as well as Heim pre-tournament for the cross server battles, and also one time when I was getting threatened with a ban for utilizing a trade bug.

Sometimes you'd see a GM pop up randomnly in Prontera years back, you could tell because there would be a swarm of players huddled around them. Other times though I met/saw GMs were:
- Implementation of PvP, the town of Lutie was PvP enabled for testing. GMs (GOD-POING and another) joined in to fight players and also to wipe out campers at the south entrance.
- GOD-POING when there was a bug where female accounts became male. She was randomnly on Glast Heim map and sai to me and 2 others "Bear some horrible male appearance for 3 days OK?"
Those are the ones I remember at least.

Oda and other GMs in general have been doing a much better job of having a presence in game. It's very nice. =)

I've been noticing them more often lately myself. I think my first non-Sakray related sighing was Heim helping with a high value trade in Rachel. I'm still mad because he wouldn't leech me. I've seen them around other places including one time when I popped my nose on Ygg.

That would be awesome.

The last known appearance from God Poing is probably from the last time they made a public announcement in need of players to test Battlegrounds. He joined us in one of the chat rooms. :3 When we all flew into the sky in Flavius, he asked us to test Tierra too. It was then we realized Tierra was finally fixed.

The current God Poing (Engrish mispelling and all) is a homage to the original I think. GOD-POING was basically what Heim is today. The main front manager of the server who would do all the announcements, pass on news, communicate with the community, punish abusers etc. She left Gravity a long time ago to other career things I think. Plus she was part of the Korean HQ team anyway and now we have an American team.

I keep meaning to ask. You're GM Press Corp, right?

Reason I ask is because they had PM'd me once a long time ago while I was leveling in Sphinx, to deal with my issue of buying a box of gwings, but getting less than I should have. I met up with them (invisible mode), they gave me the box, told me to open and use the x amount I had obtained from my previous box, and was pulled to the entrance when done. I was then told to go through the portal.. Then instructed to come back out when ready. When I did, I was buffed, and it ended there.

I could never figure out why I was told to go through the portal, then come back out.. Some friends and I joked that your hide skill was running out. I've been kinda curious about this for awhile though. xD
