Angelus not working?

Could my Angelus skill not be working, or is the DEF increase just not visible in the Status window? My DEF is currently at 37 + 108. After using Angelus (Lvl 5), it's just the same, no status increase can be seen. When Increase AGI or Blessing are used, the numbers in the status window are raised, and you can see them get raised as well, so it's rather strange that nothing visible happens with Angelus.

It might just be a display glitch. A lot of things don't show in the stat window now. Tank some weak monster (weak so a small increase in status def is more noticable) and check damage you take before and after. Assumptio is supposed to double armor def (and it appears to do so), but it doesn't show in status window.
