How do I apply a new custom icon?

1. Save the icon file anywhere you want. Preferably the ROSE Online folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\Gravity\ROSE Online).
2. Go into your ROSE Online folder and right-click on your desired launcher (in my case, genpatch.exe). Click on Send to > Desktop (create shortcut). See image above for reference.
3. Now, go to your desktop and right-click on the newly created shortcut. Select Properties.
4. Click on the [Change icon...] button and browse to where you saved the icon file.
5. Once you've found the icon, hit Open and then OK. Now click OK again to close and save your properties.
6. You're done! If everything has been done correctly, it should look like this:



This icon is scalable and contains 6 different resolutions; 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128 and 256x256 pixels.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. It looks very boring and outdated. Figured that it's time for a new fresh-up

But you can already see what it says, right? You know it says ROSE because of the style it has, which is enough. There is no need to show the whole logo. That's part of the design - letting the audience make up their own mind of what it really is.

You could do that, but then it wont save as the right img extension..

but as we all know you can rename the files and change the extensions as follows

icon.png
as so on

sweet deal i didnt even think to check here for an icon i just went and used an image off there facebook and cleaned it up XD

idk if the icon art on the fb is official or not? *shrugs*
The old one wouldn't size up to largeness/coolness and well it was such an obvious icon on there...keep wondering why it wasn't used though...nostalgia?

the icon found on the facebook is official i guess cause its used on the warp portal account page stuffs.

This is very nice!! Funny how something as simple as a new icon can help give a program a 'fresh' new look.

Can you send this to the Dev team and ask them to include it in the Rose build as the default icon?

Considering they just added a new icon, I don't think it will happen
