Hello lovely forums.

I am attempting the Sign Quest, so I can go to Geffenia with a AB friend in a few levels. HOWEVER. The damn thing is telling me to <expletive> off.

I got to the part where I have to go down to Majos. Perfectly fine, they get decent exp. But, none of the "mysterious energies" want to say anything other than that they're sad. Did Gravity somehow break this? I'm pretty sure I coughed up the 60k to get the spots. According to the iRo Wiki quest guide, I'm supposed to go to spots 5->8->1->2. But, as said, all of the energies just want to be emo assbutts.

ALL OF THEM. I checked all 8 spots, just in case, and all of them just say they're sad. Am I missing a part here? I searched this and the iRo Wiki forum and found nothing about it.

And I'm pretty sure I have a proper weapon for this. But, even if I had a wrong weapon, it wouldn't just say "faint feeling of sadness."

I remember having troubles in the Majos part too, but I noticed then that I was clicking the wrong thing.
I wish I could help you x__x; but I did that quest 2 years ago so I don't quite remember how did I manage to do it.

Ah, really? u_u I'm sure I'm clicking on the right spots, but I'll check again after I get some food. No need to get angry at bad programming on an empty stomach. Thank you, anyways.

Also, for if/when Oda pops in, this is on Yggdrasil.

Do you have a Lv.4 weapon equipped? I think u have to click like 100 times to get the stones to work not 1 time and move to the next.

The level 4 weapon has to be in your inventory, not equiped. It also has to be a level 4 weapon from before the 10.1 patch.

Oh yes, now I remember, like they said you need a level 4 weapon unequipped ( if you have more, better chances to finish it faster )
You need to click the wall many times ( I think a message pop ups when you get it ) and then move to the next step.

Yeah, I have a fortune sword on my character. But, I thought the "Keep clicking! KEEP CLICKING!" message was different from the "Hey. You got the wrong one!" message. But they all give me the same message. And I did spam the first one for a bit to see if it'd change... It could've been bad luck though, I guess.

Spent a few more times clicking... Fortune sword is apparently a 6% chance, and for around the 5 boring minutes I was clicking, nothing happened, no dialog changed. (Compared the the minute and a half of clicking the guy in Alberta for the translated text, a 2% chance.)

So... I still think it's broken.

I used a Girl's Diary on my Novice and Super Novice and both times it worked without a hitch...

When I first got down there, none of my weapons worked, but on my Novice I had a Mastersmith and Sniper help escort me down and the Mastersmith brought plenty of weapons for me to try and it was his Girl's Diary that did the trick! O_o;

Ah, I guess I could go back to town and grab every viable weapon and bring it back down... It's just such a pain to get back down! I also thought that each energy was supposed to give a different message, depending if it's the correct one or not (to give /some/ sort of clue in this quest). But, then again, Gravity never wants anything to be easy...

And bringing someone might help, hah. I seem to have exponentially bad luck by myself in RO. Though, I did get 2 cards during the quest so far... Lude and Majo. Lol.

I used Hellfire when I did it on my RK. It worked out pretty well. =3

i used icepick or diary cant remember which, but depending what weapon u use defines the chance of success, maybe u just gave up to soon

I used girl's diary as well, I remember it took a lot of time, as well as I was clicking the wrong directions ^^;

Thanks everybody. I got every weapon that fits the bill in my inventory, I'm going to head back down after work to see if it succeeds. I'm not sure if having more than one same type weapon does anything, but I'm willing to try. XD (Fortune Sword, Infiltrator, and 2x Girl Diaries. Infiltrator apparently has a 20% rate by itself, so it *should* work.)

I did this quest the other day, I believe the correct spots will have a message along the lines of "maybe you need something more powerful" and the other one is something about it shaking. I was using a Book of the Apocalypse at the time.

What server are you on? u_u That's the message I *thought* it was supposed to be saying. I've checked all the spots, even the ones the NPC didn't tell me to go to.

Only other thing I can guess it that somehow, the NPC (Even though I coughed up the 60k and got the places to go to) didn't put me onto the next part of the quest and put me into Quest Hell. Either way, I opened a ticket about it, I'm tired of wasting my time on this damn quest.

This is being worked on currently, it is tricky as you get specific locations hinted at outside the dungeons for which one to go to. But if that is not working currently, it will be by this Thursday.

The guide I used claimed that the %'s do not stack, it just uses the lowest % weapon you have with you. So, bring only your highest % weapon with you.

Yeah, I noticed that after I brought em all with me. XD So I dropped the diaries and equipped my knife (leaving the infiltrator in) and spammed as fast as I could so I could pick the diaries before they poofed. Still nothing. xD I'll just wait til maintenance to see if I can finish then.
