I dont have "sour grapes", i knew my picture wasnt the best, i wasnt tryin to win
just being on the forums i could tell that pel was popular, i've just start draconis recently.
I guess things like this all fall down to opinion, which honestly is unfair.

Its all like the monarchy system, keeping it in the family, but instead here, keeping it within the popularity circle.

Then you seem to be privvy to more than what i was.
You see for a good few years i have vacated these forums.The old one and now this one.
Im not sure where Pel was popular. I would say no more popular than you? I know both your names, just as much as the other.

My opinion was based soley on what i have already posted. Now you can mince this up anyway you like, but you cant change fact.
Monarchy/ popularity system? There is no such system in my book. I can assure you of that.

Im failing to see what popularity circle is in existance here? All i see in this thread is a load of forum posters who have enjoyed taking part in a fun competition. If there is something im missing? feel free to pm me. My door is always open to whoever that may be. Believe it or not that includes you too Emocutt.

On a side notice: due to financial shortage, the circus had lost all its staff and the animals died shortly from lack of food and overwork. Thus it had no choise but to disband..

I think you may want to get your Circus back together and erm give your animals the kiss of life

I spoke to Zeppelin about the screenshots in this thread. This is what he has said...

"if the community wants to turn some of those into loading screens, we will use any that are given to us. As for us making them into loading screens ourselves, I can submit the images and suggestion to the Development Team."

There wasn't any particular bias. I can tell you Naughty doesn't really especially know any of these members who entered the contest. It was not a popularity contest. It was a constume competition. Look at the pictures and deside what looks best to the judge. No contest is 100% with out bias because obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but it was not about favoritism.

I did think many of the screen shots submitted, while not necessarily having the best costume, did have very nice overall composition and posing etc. I think many would make awesome loading screens and lets face it, its time for a change from the ones that we had for months, even years.

No, there is no new contest. Rather it has been noted that many of the picture submitted were composed very well and would make nice loading screens. Naughty asked Zepplin to take a look at the screen shots and suggested many would be good candidates. Since many of the old loading screens have been up for a long time, it would be nice to refresh them with some new ones. Zep kindly responded that it was a great idea. It is up to the authors of the screen shots to make the needed trimmings such as making sure they are the correct screen resolution, have the authors signature, add the word loading etc.

IMHO, it would be a great idea to cycle new loading screens into the game every few months. It would be a good moral booster not to mention an opportunity for Gravity to highlight items available in the item mall such as costumes etc.
