So, ive been gone for a while, and figured I could get my defender to its second job protector. Other than maxing defense, what skills should I take?

Its a good idea to get both your taunts up. For the single taunt, i took that up to lvl 5 for the max range and DNA'd it to make it a 29m total of single taunt range. For the taunt cry, i left mines at lvl 7, but im reading that its better to get that to lvl 10 so you dont have to re-taunt as much to keep aggro in a aoe grind (especially in JS if there's a high dps'er). And of course, dont forget about getting your heals xD always get your heals as high as you can since your the tank. Low Blow might be a good addition lols, left mines at lvl 5 so i can save my points up for when I lvl up to get the next lvl heals. The dna is really up to you lols. Get spiritual intensification as much as you can for you and your party.

max both taunts. if you party with people like Craftwise, ThatchyMcNugget, and BOOTYMONSTER, lvl 5 or 7 on both wont do diddly squat
forget dna into long range taunt. you have casters to pull linked mobs to you, save your dna points for something else
physical blessing and fighting will are both fillers, so leave them at lvl 1
leave low blow at lvl 5. from lvl 5 to 6, the aggro generated goes down, but the damage goes up. but from lvl 6 to lvl 7, ect, the aggro goes up again. 1157 aggro at lvl 5 and 1293 at max lvl, 136 aggro difference. doesnt make much of a difference, so save your points for other skills
i still have my heals maxed for my lvl, and i can take on up to 3 js mobs without a healer just using my heals alone
shield strike at lvl 5
dna into strengthened survival instinct lvl 10, strengthened skin of stone lvl 10 and accuracy of shield strike lvl 5

isnt fortress lvl 70 skill? only has 4 lvls or sth?

Oh my :lol: god Karen, you really need to stop making a big deal out of... EVERYTHING!
How the-_- a "huh" can be offensive to you? Seriously... Nobody has anything against you, and even if they do, it shouldn't be brought on a topic like this, ray simply pointed out a flaw he noticed (like he always do and guess what, people agree and if they don't agree they move on). You really need to stop making drama out of nothing, I've told you countless time, there's something called IGNORE LIST (or block list in game) for both, game and forums, please use it if whatever they are saying bothers you so much, otherwise it simply shows how much you care about them, and in result, make even more drama.

hey shmappy, not quite true... it is a wrong text... if you analyze game's data it always increases... so it is a text bug.

Example of Protector build:

1st job:
Fighting Will - 1
Physical Blessing - 1
Taunt - 8

Quick Attack - 10 (Max it only if you like to do solo grind with two handed weapon, lvl 6 is quite enough for one handed protectors)
Taunting Cry - 10
Shield Strike - 5
Survival Instinct - 10
Skin of Stone - 10

2nd job:
Low Blow - 1
Restoration - 9
Restraint Rescission - 1
Shield Mastery - 1
Sacred Hand - 7
Spiritual Intensification - 7
Aegis Of Protection - 1
Lesser Party Heal - 4
Shield Fortress - 4

Long Range Taunt - 5
Strengthened Skin of Stone - 6
Strengthened Restoration - 1
Strengthened Shield Mastery - 10
Strengthened Shield Fortress - 3

Long Range taunt DNA give you 25 m range of Taunt that can be good in some cases.
Shield Mastery DNA. +353 to shield block rate and it's passive skill. Not bad.
Skin of Stone DNA lvl 6 because of big jump in short range defense between lvl 5 and lvl 6. Survival Instinct lvl 6 can be good against long ranged enemies, so you can invest 6 points to SI instead of Skin of Stone.
If you don't using 2h weapons leave QA at lvl 6 and max Restoration to lvl 10. 3 skill points are free. For PvP you can invest 2 points to Chain Slash and Vital Stab (DoT on Rogues) with 1 point to each skill.
