That's because the 25% is a percent, its not added. I'm pretty sure this is the proper math:
20% of 1000 (1%) = 200
+03% of 1000 = 30
+01% of 1000 = 10
+01% of 1000 = 10
------------------------------
= 250 bonus

Then
1000(original success value) + 250(bonus) = 1250

1250/100000 = 0.0125 x 100 = 1.25%


So actual adjusted success rate is 1.25%. I think.

Ergh, if I could get my hands on one of those, I would. It seems the price for one of those success rate items is in the tens of thousands.

No the 2* castle is working fine. I +7 aram weap in one try no other bonuses.
