I see.... the thing about relationship would be only one person and perhaps some of his friends voting -1, but it wouldn't lead to a ban. But I can see entire guilds voting against someone which is powerful or whatever else reason...

If the system recognize who voted and from which guild they are, then the GMs could perhaps see that something is wrong?


You underestimate the ability of people to motivate friends in their guild to vote against people they don't like. Plus, guilds are a per-char, but the voting would have to be per account. And people have alt accounts that they can mobilize to the cause as well.

A well known player would get tons of votes, far more than a real bot would end up with.

PLUS that's all BEFORE we consider the fact that bots would start abusing the system, either to take out rival botfarms (thus restricting supply so they can sell their zeny for more) or just spray downvotes everywhere to create a smoke screen.

This opens a can of worms - and you know the expression.... once you open a can of worms, the only way to recan them is to use a bigger can.
