New Origin

A new race has appeared in Dragon Saga. Who are they? Where did they come from?

This new race, called the Dragonkin has been around for 1000 years. They build their civilization at the top of the highest mountain, one that is the closest to the heavens! They are lead by Drakan, who founded the Dragonkin Clan and was the receiver of the god's gift.

In this update, there are 2 new classes, a new continent, as well as changes to the existing continents due to the arrival of the Dragonkin and the attack from the dark forces.

The summoner is able to summon and control spirits and beasts that are bound by a bloodpact. Summoners will mainly use their summons to attack.

Fighter

The Fighter class attack at a close range using their hands and feet.

Part II

With new maps, comes new NPCs and Monsters! These will be some of the ones that will greet you in the new maps. Please be sure to greet them with a warm welcome.

Transportation

Also being introduced in this update is a new mode of transportation. Riding Pets have been added. Riding Pets, also known as mounts, can be obtained. Certain ones can be purchased with gold, while others can be obtained through dungeons. They give stat bonuses to your character during battle. Some Riding Pets will assist during fights.

Resolution

Resolution size got you down? Would you prefer to play in a different resolution? Are parts of the UI blocking your game play? Well, there are resolution changes to allow a larger and/or wider resolution.

Elite Monster Changes:

For boss type monsters, there are changes to the way you battle them. There are new statuses/modes for these boss type monsters that will change the way in which players fight them.

The monsters will have a Rage status(Left/Left Top), a KO'd status(Center/Right Top), and be able to be combo'd in the air(Right/Bottom)

Mission Mode Changes
The old Chaos maps to get to the Chaos Missions will be removed now. Due to the Chaos consuming the continent, the Chaos modes will be integrated the normal Mission Maps. There will also be a Quick Entry mode that will randomly select a map and provide better rewards.

Continent Changes
Due to the arrival of the Dragon Kin and the spread of the Chaos from the dark forces, the World Map has changed.

Character Creation:
Character creation will have a new screen now. Players will still have a character select screen for their characters, however, there is a new window and selection mode for the separate races.

Elga:
As everyone has been waiting for... Elga and his reign of darkness has consumed the world. Due to his arrival, there are several additions:

1. 5 New Missions have been added
2. 2 New Dungeons have been added for the bosses (Akanai and Elga)
3. New skills and balances are to be added
4. New Item Sets added to the New Mission Mode settings
5. New Items added to Defense Mode

Due to Elga's strength, parties for this dungeon have been extended to allow 8 members into the dungeon.

Additional Notes:

With the new update, a new chatting system will be added.
1. Item Linking - To link an item into chat, the item can be dropped into the command line.
2. All system messages have their own Chat Window that can be moved around for viewing concerns.
3. The Trade Chat has it's own tab that is serverwide to be able to discuss and advertise your items.
4. Pressing the "Tab" button allows users to opening the whisper command as well as scroll through the users that you have previously whispered to.
5. A Continuous Chat button has been added to allow users to not require the use of pressing Enter to enable the chat bar.

On the contrary, with the amount of whining I'm hearing about the new content, I'd hope everyone quits so I can have it to myself!

EDIT: To me it seems both new classes will have the option of switching between two weapons? The fighter has fist and boots, while the summoner seems to have an arm thing and a staff thing. Very cool though probably going to be expensive!

Been waiting for this topic ever since a GM "hinted" at a new race and told me to keep an eye on the forums. Will you be upping the amount of characters we can make to 6 for the 2 new classes?

I believe Japan's notes mentioned "balancing" though it may have just been a translation thing.
