Pretty much every class is going to devolve into spamming lightnings, so save for ninjas, all the classes are essentially the same.

Specialists (grenadiers) do have at least one move to use, Caused Bomber, to decrease max HP of the mobs. Don't just say nothing for them. ):

The Curse status effect reduces base stats, and for monsters, it seem to reduce their defence (unconfirmed).
But their max HP is unaffected.
