Fail to connect to file server - RO

That means the patcher cannot acces the internet. I assume your internet connection works since you posted this soo...:I installed the Ragnarok Online game just fine (took a while). Then I came upon to the message "Attempting to connect file server, please wait." and It's been past 5 mins. Then I got an error saying 'Fail to connect to file server.', can someone please help me?
- Make sure you don't have your firewall or security programs blocking the patcher's acces.
- The patcher uses Internet Explorer. Make sure you can use IE to acces iro.ragnarokonline.com --> If IE cannot acces that page, change the IE settings till it works.
That should do the trick I think, if it works/not works, let us know.

Ok. In that case you can check if the client is run under right click-->'run as admin' mode (altho I thought, that would not give the cannot connect to file server error) anything RO related should be done under admin mode to prevent errors anyway.I tried them both, still doesn't work.
Other than that... I think the new installs come with only 1 executable patcher... If you have more than one of those, you need to use the ragnarok.exe (again, this problem would usually give another error).
Uhm and just to be safe, please make sure you have NO vpn-networks running (connection to your work/university networks or having LogMeIn Hamachi installed), you should be able to see this in your 'network and sharing center'. If so > disable.
If all that fails, I'm at a loss. But have no fear, I'm sure DrAzzy will soon be here (to save the day )!

I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client, in a different location than before, the recommended directory. I already ran the patcher as an administrator, I can view and connect to the internet via IE and any other system and connect to any other game with even more complicated connection systems. So what gives?
Edit: Is it a maint? Beh, didn't realize you guys changed it, swore it was on tuesdays like every other company.

I'm also having this problem, what gives? I was able to log in fine just earlier today, but I'm assuming a patch and maint is what served this all up or something. The only thing that I was doing in-game at the time was vending at the time of server restart/shutdown/whatever.

yes its maintenance now and it seems like its extended maintenance. Somehow, I can't find any thread regarding today's maintenance confirmation tho. Can the admin clarify?
