-Being that the goal of a combo monk is to level fast, does this assume your using SP restorative items the entire time? I ask because the Fury skill, if used, would result in having to sit down to let candence skill restore SP from time to time, or have an IV drip of SP items going. Its going to be enough of a drain on the SP bar recasting bless/agi all the time it would seem while a lowly monk (champ would be a diff story as would have a better SP pool to play with).
-Also on the note of SP and its general usage, do combo monks just use Trifecta/Quad primarily? Or do they add in Thrust as part of the normal combo? The thrust seems like it would only add an additional SP drain for each mob killed in addition to having to move up to the mob again as it just got knocked back to continue to beat on it if it did not die from the skill, as well as require more spheres to be summoned after a few usages (and thus more SP drainage).
-Is sphere absorption even worth having on my bar? Its only a net gain of 5sp, and takes 2sec to cast, seems pretty damn useless.
-After 99'ing and trans'ing to a champ, do I invest in Glacier/Chain Crush? If I went down the entire spiel of combo skills to get to Crush, thats quite a bit of SP usage, along with needing to spend more SP on a Zen to get all my spheres back (as well as lose time having to cast Zen itself before being able to move onto the next mob to rinse-repeat).
If someone could answer the questions above would be greatly appreciated. Also if could link commonly used builds for both the combo monk and champ phases of getting to Sura, along with what skills I should mainly be using as a monk and a champ (if they differ).
I guess I'm just confused as to how a monk is supposed to level efficiently with all the skill spammage it appears to need at first glance, without the SP pool to back it up. Any help and clarification appreciated.
Edit - Also, whats up with apparently wanting to use a mace as a weapon?
