With the renewal change going on... Is it still viable to go as Battle linker? Specifically as a Linker using Dagger of Counter?

I'm thinking of a crit battle-support linker a hybrid for support for WOE and PVM :| eh

Crit Build is nice since you don't waste tons of skill points to get Esma -.- (14 skill points on estin/estun) :waddle:

You can get the sweet linker buffs along with the links that you prefer :P

Stat Build would be Agi/Str/Vit
Dagger of Counter increases crit by 90 unless you want to make it 100 :( or go for Perfect Dodge, in that case balance Vit/Luck.

Cheers :)

Believe me, it's even better going melee than magic, for Linkers.

I have 99 CRIT at this moment on the linker. I'm going Agi-Str-Int, and Kahai 2 saves me from technically everything in my level range [note: I'm 71/40]

If you take elemental advantages, I must say that Mild Wind has a huge advantage over regular Endows since MW affects the whole damage, so it's not so hard to deal over 900 per crit hit against many foes only by playing with the elements.

Of course if MW is not an option for you just ignore this :waddle:.

Max Kaina if you don't need the other spirits.

210 SP = Some more hits to tank.

Some monsters in the highest levels can deal up to 1k damage, so Kaahi 4 or 5 might be a good idea. Just watch out your SP bar.

So is Kaupe useless or something? : I don't know if I should prioritize Kaina over Kaupe

While I've not actually used Kaupe, the more sp you have for Kaahi the better so you can survive more hits. Kaupe only lasts for one hit so as soon as you dodge an attack you will need to quickly reapply it.

If you make AGI 99, your flee will make Kaupe useless. Also, you won't usually take so much skills that overhit your Kaahi, neither powerful magic or skills. So I believe having Kaina is better.

IMO, Kaupe used to be more useful during pre-RE than currently, because you could easily get the 95% Flee and Kaupe would act as the 5% remaining, once. Now Kaupe's effect is much shorter since it's much likely to take hits than flee'em (the Flee nerf), making Kaupe somewhat useless than it used to be.

Kaahi will be your lifesaver, and more SP (Kaina) will make it last for longer.
