I'm playing a merchant on Valkyrie. I bought a Gemmed Sallet from the equipment shop in Geffen. The defense boost is there, however the hat doesn't appear on the character's head.

Pretty sure it's always been that way. Or if not always, a pretty darn long time.

Gemmed Sallat was originally intended to have a sprite but since the devs never got around to finishing it, it's always been the one hat without a graphic.

I remember how much it tripped me out when I bought one for my very first character, a swordie. I thought it'd look pretty sweet too, judging by the icon.

Consider it the one equip that trolled players in the beginning and always will.

To be fair though it is rather nice to have an option that lets you have a carded headgear and still see your character's hair. Too bad it wasn't on purpose.

Would you really want a sprite for it, it doesn't look like it would be very attractive, and it's cool to have an invisible headgear.
