A few Ranger Skill questions

1) Aimed Bolt - I got to admit I liked how this skill could seem to replace a very tired skill like Double Strafe as well as letting you get some practical use from Snares. The Problem I see with this is 2 fold. 1 a really stupid cast time of 2 sec Fixed and 3 sec Variable. Now any path you choose for Ranger is going to get High-Max dex so lets even ignore the Var for now, but what is with a 2 Second Fixed cast time on this skill? to me that maxes it almost unusable especially with a 1 sec cool down. Compare with Double Strafes No Cast time no Cast delay 380% damage. Aimed will deal 400% times 2-4 IF the monster is Snared first ONLY. Next it seems almost useless in PvP since your opponents will be able to SEE and AVOID the traps thus negating Aimed Bolts use. Not to mention the fact that they can interrupt the damn cast (No archer char should have to wear a Phen card in any reality lol).
Is this skill at all useful?! because it seems pretty useless. I will mainly be PvM only PVP occasionally.
2) Arrow Storm - Is this at all useful vs mobs really? It seems to be 3 times power 3 times SP cost version of Arrow Shower without Knock Back effect as well as the downside of needing a Target and more arrows to use. The Cast time of this skill with 0.5 Fixed 2 Variable is acceptable I guess compared to Aimed.
3) Camouflage - At first this sounded good. But it does NOT say that it hides you from other Players, like Hide/Cloak just monsters. Also the fact that if you use a Skill, Like say Aimed Bolt, the hiding is cancelled BEFORE the attack is launched thus negating bonus's. Is this just a way to get a Hode card cloak without the equipment?!
4) Bomb Cluster, Fire/Ice Trap - From what I can see these traps all have the same damage formula for the "Stat" portion, Bomb Cluster gets a 700%(max) Atk Bonus in addition. The thing is apparently Fire & Ice Trap can both be placed UNDER the target whereas CB is like normal traps and needs 2 cells away. This bypasses the need to have to "lure/lead" them onto it. Cluster also needs to be stepped on, 1*1 activation area and a 7*7 AoE, unlike F&I that have a 3*3 activation + 5*5 AoE and MAY in the Future actually have an ELEMENT as they are all NEUTRAL apparently now. Correct me here if I made a mistake but it seems pretty straight forward.
5) Warg Bite - Is this usable on MvP's or even other players??? Anyone know what the SP cost and Range are on this skill? Does it have a Cast Time or Cast Delay at all? Does Skill level affect Immobilization length? Seems to combo well with Aimed Bolt but no real need for lvl 5 if all you want is that.
6) Warg Ride - Are above traps really useable while riding??? Seems too good to be true.
7) Keen Nose - Is this really useful at all? Seems like Remove trap with an AoE.
8) Is it possible to have BOTH Falcon and Warg together???
Guess those will do for now. Plz answer any you feel like if you can.

6 Yes you can trap while on it. But you can't tele (can fwing) or rebuff with IC/FE while on it - you have to demount and i'm lazy.
8 Can't have both at the same time.

2 - another useless skill, but i heard KRO gonna buff them (maybe i heard wrong)
3 - Camo gonna get a fix on KRO latest patch
4 - ....
7 - i dont see how keen nose remove trap, it's more to Detect (falcon skill) with a chance to auto cast warg bite.

I thought so as well. However if you read the text in irowiki on almost ANY trap you get this line:
"This trap will yield 1 Trap when affected by Remove Trap or Keen Nose. "
"This trap will only yield 1 Trap when affected by Remove Trap or Keen Nose." - Claymore because it uses 2 traps to set
"This trap will yield 1 Special Alloy Trap when affected by Keen Nose." Ranger traps.
This seems to say that Keen Nose is an improved version of Remove Trap that can work on Hunter to Ranger traps.

I really want them to buff fear breeze and other bow skills, because i just love using bows. I refuse to be forced to use traps as my main method of leveling.

Well that's good to know.
I really want them to buff fear breeze and other bow skills, because i just love using bows. I refuse to be forced to use traps as my main method of leveling.
Is it not kind of sad that the Severe Rainstorm attack is a LOT stronger than Arrow Storm?! I mean Rangers are supposed to be the ultimate in Bow and Trap skills. The performers are supposed to stick to instruments/whips yet they have the best Mob Bow skill I have ever seen.
Arrow Storm really needs to have it's Cast Time just removed Completely. This way it would replace AShower for anything but pushing around traps.

Comparing skills (at max level even though Rain maxes at 5 less than AS) with 150 Dex and lets say 100 Agi (both super easy to get and base level 100)
AS = 700% in a 5x5 area but needs a target monster to fire. No Cooldown or after delay. Has a 0.5 Fixed and 2 sec Variable Cast time. Costs 48 SP and 10 Arrows per Cast. Has a Range of 20 Cells.
Rain = 370% damage for 12 hits in a 11x11 area. Has a 0.5 Fixed 2.5 Variable Cast Time. Costs 120 SP + 20 Arrows. Has a 1 Sec Delay and 5 Second Cooldown. Takes 3.3 seconds to deal all hits but does the 370% damage every 0.3 sec. Range of only 9 Cells.
SO Rain wins, damage wise you pay 3x the sp for 6 times the damage. May not have the Range of AS but has a but kicking AoE thats twice as good. The fact is that you should kill most guys with 1 cast so the delay shouldn't really be taken into account much. Also only a 0.5 Var cast difference.
The only Good Thing that AS has going for it is it's range and no delay.
The problem with the good things about AS is that it's supposed to help you MOB. Mobbing is not done realistically from 20 cells away. Mobbing moves also need to either be spammed fast or 1 hit ko. Even in the time it takes Rain to finish you could only say spam at most 3-4 AS's so it still loses on AoE and still comes out 2nd on damage.
I have now almost completely talked myself out of continuing to level my Sniper until I see whats coming.

Arrow Storm now has
+ it's damage improved massively to 1000% + (80%*Skill Lvl), also each level above 100 adds 1% damage on top.
+ AoE increased to 7*7 at lvl 1 to 11*11 at max
- Cool down added of 5.2 at lvl 1 - 3.2 seconds at max
= Range and SP cost have remained the same but considering the improvements you get a lot more for the price.
Also apparently works with Camoflauge to help increase damage.
Aimed Bolt as well has received a massive bonus damage wise.
This seems to have rekindled my interest in my Ranger and made a Bow build very competitive.
Also I thought that F & I traps now had elements? iro wiki still lists their damage as neutral but says Fire * Water in description so I am wondering which is right.

While im ready to play the trapper, one modification i would really appreciate -
remove the activation of traps by party/guild members and also no damage from traps to party/guild members. This change alone makes trapper (in turn ranger) viable, since ranger already cant kill in woe with bow, at the same time not a single defensive skill for rangers.
If only this one change is made to this class, then i wont even care if arrow storm is nerfed.
