Don't mind me, I just rediscovered my obsession with D&D style Character alignments, and my crazy-as imagination couldn't not apply them to the classes in RO. Mind you, none of this is canon so feel free to disagree and/or post what you think the alignments should be.

Anyhoo, here it is:

Lawful Good: Priest
Neutral Good: Monk, Sage
Chaotic Good: Hunter
Lawful Neutral: Knight
True Neutral: Merchant, Blacksmith, Bard, Dancer
Chaotic Neutral: Rogue, Ninja
Lawful Evil: Crusader
Neutral Evil: Assassin
Chaotic Evil: Wizard


Also, I wasn't sure which section this goes in, since the creative one seems to be mainly dedicated to art and videos and stuff. So don't be too harsh on me if I got it wrong

Well I would have to put Wizards as True Neutral as they harness the forces of the elements. Which are neither Good nor Evil but lol Neutral.


Sage perhaps Lawful Neutral.

Hunter Chaotic Neutral.


Don't know why you put Knight in Lawful Neutral but Crusader in Lawful Evil when Monk is in Lawful Neutral.

Crusader - Lawful Good.
Knight - Lawful Neutral


Merchants should be either true neutral or lawful evil.

Well much of all that is purely how I imagine them to be... For instance Ninja and Crusader I classified based on their IRL counterparts (I'm not very familiar with Christian history, but I hear the crusades weren't a pretty sight).

Wizards: Chaotic and Evil because not only are ALL their skills offensive or offensive-supportive (in complete contrast to Priests, whose skills cannot harm the living); but because of the sheer number of high-damage AoE attacks, meaning they don't care what they hit as long as sheet goes down. Seriously, who can make a a more bad-as villain than one who can summon meteors, cause thunderstorms and turn people to stone?

I wondered whether a Hunter would make a better good guy or just someone who doesn't give a damn. The second option certainly seemed more appealing but then the image of Legolas from LotR popped into my head so I put em in CG. xD

And lol, I can't imagine a merchant being placed anywhere but True Neutral. They wouldn't mind bending the laws every now and then for the sake of their profits, but they'd be nobody if it weren't for the system. And well, they're always out for themselves but they'd try to avoid trouble whenever possible and wouldn't be able to shake off their consciences easily enough to be called Evil.

Not sure which Merchants you have in mind with consciences but really merchants find the loopholes in any laws they can for their own benefit. Every Merchant in this game tries to buy low from noobs and sell high to everyone else. Nobody gives decent rates for things when they can easily open buying stores now and offer a pittance.

Lawful Evil definitely.

Yay DnD glory...My comments:

Merchants can be a chaotic IMO. OC/DC practically dont follow the rules does it?

Crusaders are pretty much chaotic. They do things that suit them (historically) and doesnt follow the law much. Evil or Good that depends. Definitely not a neutral.

Soul Linker can be a neutral. Good/Evil depends.

Knights are Lawful and can be evil. Paladins OTOH are locked to Lawful Good.

Priest can be chaotic and evil as much as lawful and good.

IMO this is very debatable... Being out for yourself doesn't necessarily make you Evil, unless it means that you wouldn't mind ruining other people's lives on the way. And in the in-game universe you can't really get "ruined"... Sure, you can go bankrupt and stuff but nobody's life depends upon your in-game turn in. But yeah, this one is subjective methink, but I do see your point. They definitely lie somewhere inside the LawfulNeutral-TrueNeutral-NeutralEvil-LawfulEvil quadrilateral.

Merchants rely heavily on the economic and legal system, even though they might not follow it to the book.

I'd have to go with Knights, at least, being neutral most of the time because they've got to follow the orders of their higher ups regardless of how they feel about it. Crusaders, maybe not so neutral.

lol if you take that approach you could say any class can belong to any alignment... It's how you perceive them from the little clues we have about each class's personality that counts... Aco's in general are implied to be the peoples' champions and are probably the only classes we can definitely say are Good.

Merchants do bend the rules to their favor (for coins/zeny), didnt say they're evil. Just chaotic.

I'm not talking about aco (priest actually) but they do have a skill that used to debuff others (Decrease Agi). Which implies that can be use for evil (and chaotic while at it). Talking outside RO's lore, there are shadow priests or priests of evil gods which makes them...evil.

Chaotic Good:Monk (The Fist of God), Wizard (The Fury of Nature)

Lawful Neutral:Knight (The Shield of the People), Hunter (The Force of Nature), Gunslinger (The Future)
True Neutral:TaeKwon Master (Ultimate Enlightenment), Soul Linker (Shared Enlightenment), Bard/Dancer (The Voice of Peace)
Chaotic Neutral:Blacksmith (The Dubious Deal), Ninja (The Past)

Lawful Evil:Alchemist (The Biological Abomination)
Neutral Evil:Rogue (The Mischevous Shadow)

Let's start from the begining.....

Novice classes: Neutral

First jobs:

Swordman: Neutral Good
Mage: Neutral
Archer: Neutral
Merchant: Chaotic Neutral
Thief: Neutral Evil
Acolyte: Neutral Good

All first jobs are basically a transient step in the grow of a character so they haven't developed a true nature since they're just starting they journey.

Second jobs:

Knight: Lawful Neutral
Crusader: Lawful Good
Wizard: Neutral
Sage: Lawful Neutral
Hunter: Nuetral
Bard/Dancer: Neutral
Blacksmith: Chaotic Neutral
Alchemist: Chaotic Neutral
Assasin: Lawful Evil
Rouge: Lawful Evil
Priest: Lawful Good
Monk: Chaotic Good

The second step of the grow of a character . More experienced adventurers finds what its most likely to be they true nature.

3rd classes:

Rune Knight: Lawful Neutral
Royal Guard: Lawful Good
Warlock: Chaotic Neutral
Sorcerer: Lawful Neutral
Ranger: Neutral
Maestro/Wanderer: Neutral
Mechanic: Chaotic Neutral
Geneticist: Chaotic Neutral
Guillotine Cross: Chaotic Evil
Shadow Chaser: Chaotic Evil
Arch Bishop: Lawful Good
Sura: Chaotic Neutral

Full grown character.

I based in the jobs descriptions, possible roles and the alignments wiki link. Also didn't post trans jobs because 2nd and trans are basicly the same and there's no big changes in their alignments.

Also, there's a lot of neutral types characters in RO so the biggest issue is what kind of neutral type a character can be....except maybe thief class. I really think that priests and saders have to be lawful good cuz they are servants of god, they can twist their message but still are servants of god (and saders of their king).
