Pretty sure its been said more than once that Elvens won't be tradeable.
It was also said more than once that slotted sunnies would never come back.

I got 3x elven ears on different accounts and would be good if i can sell one of them, i don't see anything bad with it, look's like there will be more sloted mid-headgears soon.

I think the reason was always that the parts to make it are tradeable but I'm not 100% sure.

They flooded the economy with so many slotted mid gears and now they won't be a selling point for lucky boxes unless they put in angel/evil wing ears.

Because, I know that Elvens used to be like 2-3mil on Ymir. And Tradeable slotted mids are 90mil+.
So, yeh, I have like 30 pairs of Elvens I bought at 2mil each, so even If they jump to 50mil each then I stand to make around 1.5bil profit. I'm sure theres lots of people like this, who want the elvens tradeable.
But then theres also people who paid 100mil+ or bought HEAPS of lucky boxes to get slotted sunnies.. and these people will feel heartbroken if the gear they just paid 100mil for drops to dirt cheap because of a couple of greedy people that wanted to cash in decided to make a thread on the forums, and the GM's decided to listen to them.
I say things need to stay the same. You bought them knowing they weren't tradeable. Leave them that way.

Elevens are going at 10mil+ and augers are around the same but are very difficult to find for sale because they have either been used already or turned in for Midgar coins.
The chance to succeed is roughly 1 in 4 so it would take approximately 40-80 mil to get a pair of ears.
I think it's on par with mini glasses.

Glasses and sunglasses are A Class (Rare gear]
Elven are buyerble from vendor /Bot shop in Valk
Spiritual Auger are D class item (Normal)
slot sunnies and glasses wont be A class item if Elven ear become tradeable...

Elvens are tradeable in other RO versions but when the elvens hit iRO ppl were going to get upset over the fact that their slotted sunnies would drop in price so GMs made them acct bound but thats kind of pointless now because S sunnies and S glasses and S mini glasses are now in boxes.
This is most likely the reason. Anyone old enough will remember the MASSIVE backlash when s.sunnies were given as a reward of w/e pvp comp/tourny it was.
So basically you have yourself to blame (those complaining) for the original reason why elvens were account bound. If players hadn't cried blue murder when the GM's originally tried to put them back into circulation, they wouldnt have needed to be as cautious the next time around.
I'd expect the may eveeeeeeeeeeeeeeentuaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllly get made tradable, the same way chick hat etc was made tradable like 3 years after it got released.

This whole situation revolves around people who want to spread their accounts thin and transfer all their gear from alt to alt. I find that account bound gear establishes a main account which seems to be a concept that is endangered. My main account is my main account because it has full glorious on it, and some account bound midgears.
If people are arguing to make account bound elvens free trade then by that token KVM gear should be fully tradeable too. The concept is the same. Buy kafra boxes get KVM, turn in, get gear. Or have people forgotten where slotted elvens came from in the first place? There is really nothing to say about the effort put in to make slotted elvens that sets it apart from the effort it takes to get some KVM gear.
