There's a lot of people that really prefer to have S1 again. (I didn't play then, but would love to see it). WoW has expansion packs that you can buy, so why not do something similar? You can have different downloads for each season, with all the changes that were made between the two, it would definitely add some variety to the game. You could host Lintra instead of Valdes on Bloodymare and still keep Hammerine.
When/if s3 comes out, you could add that to the list as well. This would also be a good chance to add in a good detailed story line to your game.
Each season would be worked on separately to maintain a constant flow. S2 gets new armor/weapons/items designed for that season as well as s1 and the possible s3.

The problem with that is that S1 had not only a different system of equipment but also a different system of skills, dna, pb, blacksmith, etc. The only way would be to have a special server running the S1, but then they should make different updates for each one, unless they left it as it was, without updates, but people would get tired sooner or later.
If there were real seasons, then it would be nice. The real seasons here would be the one that goes from the start to LW, and the second would be after LW to Erunil.

they cant host 1 game properly. how should they do with 2 or 3 versions ?
and there are not many players now , split that into 2 or 3 ... would be really dead servers
