After consulting the compendium, I came up with an explanation about the reasons why some Epics (staff especially) are freaking hard to get.

I will consider only the Orlo\Ruins kings because I doubt anyone would farm Kera or pop a MoT and farm OT Kings or Goblin Kings.

Here's the list of Kings that drop the following types of Epics:

[Dealer Type] Gun-Launcher:

• Pantharis
• Bone Spider
• Grand Master Sikuku
• Asper
• Snapper
• Scorpio
• Terrasaurus

[Muse Type] Staff-Wand:

• Snapper
• Devourer
• Mastyx

[Hawker Type] Katar-Duals-Bow:

• Pantharis
• Aplysia
• Grand Master Sikuku
• Devourer
• Scavenger
• Terrasaurus

[Soldier Type] 2H Sword, 1H Sword, Mace, Axe, Spear:

• Aplysia
• Bone Spider
• Asper
• Scavenger
• Scorpio
• Mastyx

[Hybrid Hawker-Soldier Type] Crossbow:

• Pantharis
• Aplysia
• Bone Spider
• Grand Master Sikuku
• Asper
• Devourer
• Scavenger
• Scorpio
• Mastyx
• Terrasaurus

Now, the first things I can notice are:

Every Epic drops from at least 6 kings in Orlo\Ruins, except for the Muse Type Epics, Staff and Wand, which drop only from 3 kings in Orlo\Ruins.

2 of these 3 kings are the most annoying ones ever. Giant Fiery Snapper is hard to farm, I tried for 6 hours 2 days ago and I couldn't even make it spawn sometimes. Even if all the mobs in that spawn were constantly being killed, timing the king was impossible. Sometimes it would show up in 5-10 minutes, some other time I wouldn't see it for the next 40-50 minutes. Plus there's only 1 spot ingame for that king. The Grand Master Devourer spots (2) were decent before the day they changed them. We had 2 spots, both time based and it was okay. Now I can't really understand how they work. I'm not even sure the one in South Wasteland still spawns it, I was there yesterday and it kept spawning Scavengers. The one in Ruins Path...is pretty much screwed, you have to kill mobs to trigger the king, and it spawns quite slowly.

Soldier and Hawker Type Epics are the easiest to find, why? Because they made them drop from the easiest kings to farm, all time based or super easy to trigger (3-5 minutes between each other king). Xbow is so far the most common epic, it drops from 10 different kings just in Orlo\Ruins.

Gun and Launcher, I have no idea why they have to be so hard to find. Some of the kings that drop them are easy to farm, but from my experience I think there might be a lower chance to get those compared to the others. I used to farm Ruins kings and Asper king, and I remember I always had them drop xbows\1h swords\maces. I never saw a gun\launcher drop, bad luck or what?

Conclusion:

They need to review the distribution of Epics among these kings and make every Epic drop from at least 5-6 kings (Orlo\Ruins of course), where 50% of them has to be easy to farm and the other 50% harder. Knowing pretty much all the kings out there and their respawn rates, after I noticed this I went like "what the hell..".

You are forgetting that the muse class has 2 epics (staff,wand) while the soldier class has 6 (1h sword, mace, x-bow, 2h sword, spear, axe).
conclusion- muse epics are too expensive to be worth getting. just wait for 220 weapons

I wish they remove the falling leafs 3D effect in Eldeon, you can't even move smoothly in this planet especially in Sikuku ruins, the lag is like wow...you don't even want to waste your time to farm these boss or you will get a lag seizure.

Yeah, its amazing how laggy Ruins is.

It is lagged because of the memory leak. I don't think DEV Team even try to fix it.

Agreed all the epics ive farmed are soldier hawker epic's my buddy actually got a buster the other day at the asper but that was pure luck. Good write up

The answer to your question, "Why do we pay 8 freaking billions for a staff?", is "Do not buy it." I always set a reasonable price range for the items, which I like. If the price go over that range, I simple do not buy it. Try it. It saves a lot of money.

I researched this months ago and posted it in the drop thread back then. - (along with which uinque weaps were completely missing from drop tables). I beleive i was told to go farm junons bosses for the gem quest. in any case the devs either didnt read it, or didnt bother to respond. nor did they fix the problem.

Never said I paid that much for one. I just didn't know what to type as subtitle and I thought that was a cool sentence. xD

I test farming the epic staff in goblin cave for a while. I killed hundreds of Grand Master Goblin and Grand Master Wizzard, (both of them should drop the epic staff, according to the drop table) and the best drop I got is lisend lp.

You mean this drop table? If that's so, it refers to the Goblin boss in Junon Clan Field and not the one in goblin caves.

I guess Asper\Scorpio or Scavengers. The first 2 have a very quick respawn rate (3-4 minutes), while Scavengers are always there.

211-216 without the event with 50% exp.
216-220 with the event + Full Ninja Costume [Lucky Spin]

I think the best way to farm Sundering Force is killing Packleaders in Orlo Because there are many of them over there

I am actually thinking about test farm all the bosses that have the epic staff in their drop table. I wonder how long it going to take got get the staff.
