Lets say I was researching characters for my next build. While looking at the different builds, gears and tactics, I decided I wanted to do things a little different. I thought to myself, is there a way that I can build a character differently (original) and still have it function efficiently. While looking at the different characters, I noticed that each character receives stat bonuses at certain job levels. At job lvl 50 they reach their maximum stat bonuses (without gear). At this point i had an idea and wanted to know if i can somehow make a build for a particular character based off of their unique job stat bonuses.
For example: A Knight has the following job stat bonuses at job lvl 50.
STR +8
AGI +2
VIT +10
INT +0
DEX +6
LUK +4

This means if a Knight is lvl 99/50 and has a STR of 80, It will get +8 to its STR making it 88 (80 +8) with no gear on. You can take a look at their job bonuses at irowiki.com under classes and Knight.

I wanted to convert these bonuses to actual stat builds for each character. Using a percentage method, I have dont just that.

Knight bonus build

Stat bonus as job lvl 50
STR +8
AGI +2
VIT +10
INT +0
DEX +6
LUK +4

Sum of points
8+2+10+0+6+4 = 30

Percentage of each stat to the sum
8/30 = 27%
2/30 = 7%
10/30 = 33%
0/30 = 0%
6/30 = 20%
4/30 = 13%

Total spending points possible = 1247 (my own calculation? too long to put in here?lol)

Total points cost to raise a stat from lvl 1 to 99 = 639 (my own calculation? too long to put in here?lol)

Point cost per stat
STR 27% x 1247 = 333
AGI 7% x 1247 = 83
VIT 33% x 1247 = 416
INT 0% x 1247 = 0
DEX 20% x 1247 = 249
LUK 13% x 1247 = 166

333+83+416+0+249+166 = 1247

Stat lvl in comparison to 639. (calculation is too long to put here)

STR 333 = ~lvl 68
AGI 83 = ~lvl 29
VIT 416 = ~lvl 78
INT 0 = lvl 1
DEX 249 = ~lvl 58
LUK 166 = ~lvl 45

Final stats at lvl 99/50
STR 68 +8
AGI 29 +2
VIT 78 +10
INT 1 +0
DEX 58 +6
LUK 45 +4

Characters with the highest job bonus are listed below.
STR Knight/Monk (job bonus of 8) Stat point will be 68
AGI Assassin (job bonus of 10) Stat point will be 78
VIT Knight (job bonus of 10) Stat point will be 78
INT Wizard (job bonus of 12)Stat point will be 86
DEX BlackSmith (job bonus of 12) Stat point will be 86
LUK Dancer (job bonus of 8)Stat point will be 68

Finally... I know these stats are not ideal for certain builds, but this was a fun experiment and i want to try this out on my Sage.

I feel like this is missing a "background" section to explain exactly what you're trying to figure out here... Cause I sure can't tell - and i'm a huge fan of overanalyzing RO.

It is a little difficult to explain but i will try. The best way to explain it will be to give an example.

I hope this clears up any confusion

I know what you're doing, but I don't know why you're doing it. What benefit will any of this be? Being "different" isn't a benefit.

Why not?...the benifit is trying different tactics... making the build work somehow. if people want to have fun and want a challange, go out of your comfort zone. thats all i can really say about that... its purly for fun...

I'm kind of confused to this way of building a char what I understand is that you are optimizing stat builds by using the stat builds right?

I apologize if the information is confusing, it is a little difficult to explain.

I took the Job stat bonuses for each character and converted them into their point value for stats

for instance a wizard has a INT bonus of +12 at job lvl 50. the total +bonus for all stats at job 50 is 30. So +12/30 = 40%. I used that 40% and converted it to its "stat" counterpart. which comes to INT 86 (+12) at lvl 99/50

These builds are NOT ideal builds for each character, they are just based off of their job stat bonus. for example:
An ideal wizard build at lvl 99/50 is;
STR 1 (+1
AGI 1 (+8)
VIT 1 (+1)
INT 99 (+12)
DEX 99 (+6)
LUK 9 (+2)

The bonus build i created for a wizard is;
STR 18 (+1)
AGI 68 (+8)
VIT 18 (+1)
INT 86 (+12)
DEX 58 (+6)
LUK 29 (+2)
The bonus builds I created are not for an Ideal character, just someone who would like to have fun and maybe try some new tactics.

I seem to understand what you're doing. Balancing the character's stats instead of maximizing one stat. Like, making the class be a jack of all trades, master of none. If that's the case, then the Crusader should win in Vit since they're the tank after all. I wonder where the sages and rogues are.

Well put!...Balancing their stats is probably the best way to put it. However it is balancing them based on their job bonuses. The bonuses come from irowiki.org. If you look under Knight and Crusader you will find the following bonuses when they reach job 50
Knight bonuses
STR +8
AGI +2
VIT +10
INT +0
DEX +6
LUK +4

Crusader bonuses
STR +7
AGI +2
VIT +7
INT +6
DEX +3
LUK +5

Thank you!

you mean the higher the bonus stat the more points you put in the stat?

Someone said:

that's what I thought before too but my brother is a crusader and I am a knight in pRO but I have a bigger HP and higher vit stat bonus. I think the crusader has lower vit to balance it to have bonus on both int(magic defense) and vit(physical defense).

Oh I forgot to tell!

STR 18 (+1)
AGI 68 (+8)
VIT 18 (+1)
INT 86 (+12)
DEX 58 (+6)
LUK 29 (+2)

This build is kinda good(I think). All you have to do is remove the unnecessary stats like luk and str, also I suggest you to choose only one between agi and vit(remember, it's only a suggestion).
