Our little maintenance got more interesting this week, we hope you enjoy! Was planned small but some new breakthroughs allowed us to do some extra neat stuff.

August 2nd
  • 1.5x Exp and Drops event closes
  • Mighty Hammer Returns to 100% cost in zeny for his HD upgrading
  • HD Ore 50x boxes discontinue selling.
  • Yggdrasil 4 more WoE Castles (next week 4 WoE 2 castles open)

    Britoniah 1
    Balder 3
    Valkyrie 4
  • Implemented Eden Group 86-90 and 91-99 daily quests (these are perm not weekly Turnins)

    86-90 Yao Jun

  • Fixed a Bug in the Ring of the Ancient Wise King quest that sometimes characters wouldn't get the 1 hour timer.
  • Kareka in El Dicastes can "redo" the Light of El Dicastes accessory enchantment. 6 Sapha Certificates are necessary (daily Sapha quests) to start over on the Enchantment. So if you get an enchantment you don't like, you do have an option to do over.
  • Turnin Event update! These monsters are 400x hunt quests and the spawn associated with them is doubled or raised to 110 per map (whichever is more)
    70-95 Poison Toad
    70-95 Antique Firelock These turn ins have been updated from 75-95 to allow characters starting from level 70 to pick it up.
    105-120 Dullahan
    105-120 Loli Ruri
    125-140 Gold Acidus
    125-140 Blue Acidus
  • Monster name changes. We are changing names of ambiguous monsters so it is more clear in quests for what you are hunting. Groups include
    Acidus
    Novus
    Ferus
    Deleter
    Petit
    Skegigold
    Goblin
    Kobold
  • And for the happiest news for me, is we finally have a first batch of proper quest indicators working!
    We will post a link with a bit more of a guide for this here once the guide is typed up, but the gyst is.
    A Green flashing "!" "quest" will appear over an NPC when they have a quest you qualify for, or "Event" "!". I know it seems like a small thing from the player perspective but we have been working on trying to get this working and implemented for many moons now, so to see it finally make its appearance (in small form) is a great step for us and for easing player transition into Ragnarok!
    For now a couple of Novice Training Ground NPCs have the indicators as well as our Turnin Man. Each week we will add more quest indicators for the other quests in the game!

If I may: Don't forget to put the quest indicators for the seal quests also.
Sometimes I think that the post sign is not showing correctly the status of the quests.

I hope so cause the quest up to 85 gimped us with no job xp....

Don't forget to triple or quadruple the spawns in AL3, as it's such a small map with a lot of people.
I gotta say though, this week has some good things implemented in...

Holy crap that is a long ass list. But it give quite a diversity in leveling spots. Now my question is can you only do one of those quests daily and they do a different one the next day, or can you do all the quest and hand them all in?

I feel really happy about quests indicators, you could work also on a way to guide easier the player towards the next NPC or objective in a quest. Most quests in RO are practically imposible to know they exist without the indicator and sometimes following them is as hard as well. the only way to know about those quest ATM, is through external guides or friend's advices.

I know you are doing your best effort to improve server and I'm just pointing out some things that most newbies don't know (I still don't know a lot of things that some friend's have barely mentioned to me).

Thanks for your hard work and keep that way!

(I'd like a little bit more concerning toward bots though)

For the Permanent Eden Group quests, you can grab any and all of them at 1 time each has its own "timer" so I'd advise grabbing em, and the Turnins and where they overlap you get more than normal EXP.

The daily quests from the Eden Group are "designed" to get you from novice - 99 quicker, but they don't help job as that time around you will invariably be Job 50 long before base 99. However the 91-99 quests DO give job exp to sort of address the problem of being 99/65 or somesuch. I think our 400x quests are better though :mellow:

Of course they are, but after they are all done with (cause i assume you wont be doing it forever) the perm quests will really help many people out

what really sucks though is that the 105-120 turn in event is in my ALL TIME favorite place in RO (Niff), and i can only enjoy it for 1 day T_T. After tomorrow ill be on vacation for a week (which hopefully will take my mind off missing Niff event). :mellow:

Overall great patch. Love the new eden quest and the dull/lolli TI which make my 2 AB gitty like a school girl.
