Pro Grenadiers and Pro PF's would probably end up in a tie granted you play up the atk speed buff of a gren for aas.
Edit:
You can't honestly think the launches between the two are balanced. The Pathfinder will have an upper hand, not to mention their DPS is a lot higher with the crit buff.

@azure
wat... that makes no diff when both can kill either one in 1 launch if u play with AAS. sadly, pfs of the same skill level will always beat grens of the same skill level, if AAS is unrestricted.

i managed to see your build TS.. what interests me most is that you dont have HE Grenade.. why?
and i like to ask also, how you managed to do PVE? after using gatling do you just launch->AAS->RPG->aas the remaining mobs?
i want to follow your skill build coz you got many spare points.. my build atm includes lv 5 two action shot, 5 HE and 1 composite.. planning to dispatch those skills but i've been wondering how can i cope up without them in PVE.. >_<
im currently level 42 in our server..

Recommended Skills
Allocate the rest of the points how ever you desire.
Read the bolded sentence. What he posted was a core skeleton build meaning that is pretty much required and rest is up to you.

I always get asked why I don't use grenades. I find them unnecessary. I have no need for them in PvP or PvE, I get by fine with the set of skills I already have. To add to this, I play with a high movement speed so I never really stay in a single area. H.E. grenades would probably slow me down.
Two Action Shot leaves your character stuck in animation, so its a very bad skill. X-Spam is more efficient and allows for more maneuverability.
Examples:
In PvE gatling or gatling > launch and the occasional tank will be efficient enough to kill mobs. I was able to get ~3200 kills in CSS with a -_-ty lorebound +11.

How are light/dark sets obtained?
Certain mission maps yield certain level sets.
I don't recall which bosses you have to fight for the different levels.
Light set is obtained by using gada coins after any regular mission map in the reward screen.
Dark set is obtained using the same method through chaos maps.
Sorry for not elaborating more on this, I assumed people know where to get these sets.

Oh, so it's just similar to getting normal set pieces.
Do you have a picture of what they look like?
I've tried searching for images.

The sets?
If so you could search them up in the market.
Try "Bullseye"

Also, i'm not sure what the 8% + 50 is...Attack Power x 1.08 + 50 = damage per arrow maybe?

Random Shot Theory Start: I do more damage per hit with Random shot on than just X plus it does more damage than straight up X-spamming with a couple skills thrown in here and there, so i think it's incredibly viable for early bossing, especially once you know their patterns. I'm not sure what the math is, but the description in Dragon Saga is "Fire 2 arrows simultaneously with 50 additional Physical Attack Power." So atleast as an early skill before you start getting better skills, it would be good to use, especially on bosses. Just a note ^^

I assume you don't have adrenaline yet? This is oriented a little bit more for PvP.
Random Shot leaves you stuck in animation, and there is a pause between the next cycle of shots. Regular X shots you can cancel right after. It's not that long before you get gatling and tank, (and maybe grenades if you prefer those).
I also like the idea of saving skill resets, so I wouldn't level it past the prerequisites for Gatling.
Thank you for your input.

nice read! awesome guide...

You have to stack a lot of evade for it to actually matter. That being said, evade is more viable now with new dark sets for Destroyers. Grenadiers definitely have the potential to stack an enormous amount of evade (definitely more than my 243 as a Sentinel) but it's fairly costly and you forgo benefits (Movespeed, Aim, and CD from Light/CP sets). Using the alternative build (full 70 CP) will net less evade compared to 61/67 light sets for reasonable amounts of AGI but will give you CD.
Health stacking would give you returns immediately but you'll need to get higher enchanted armor to make up for damage mitigation lost from not stacking evade. Without enough armor you won't have enough time to be effective in team fights before dying. There's a tradeoff between using old (heirloom) and new Bone sets: more armor as opposed to more health; keep in mind that the armor difference scales with how much money you drop into enchanting and the health difference is just a flat bonus (%max hp nonwithstanding).

Health is definitely the easier route. Going Evade is especially costly as it requires near perfect stats.
I'd recommend going a Health build, but this also requires you to have high enchants on your armor for defense, because Health alone is pretty worthless.
Old Bone and Light set could be used for a Health build.
End game, Evade would be the better choice, but its a lot more difficult to achieve.
Also, read the above post.
Edit: Reread your question. I think Health and Crit Damage would be best for general use (PvE, Casual PvP, 1v1).
If the focus is solely on PvP (Group PvP, BSQ, EW) and the person can stack enough Evade to dodge 95% of the server, then Evade would be better.
Edit2: So much repetition, I hope you got my point.

I have more to add. Being only 44 at this point in time, I feel that I haven't exactly gotten into the Gren rhythm just yet. I did defy a few things from your guide in interest of experimentation with the skills (I personally find grenades fun though your point is very sound and I might be willed to drop them when I reset later on). I also want to ask about stepshooting. It's not something I see discussed often and I realize it's somewhat of a trade secret. Is it possible only to do this with ridiculously high attack speeds? How, precisely, do you do it? I have heard that it's as simple as pressing x, lightly tapping a movement key, and repeating. Perhaps my PS3 controller is interfering in doing that? A brush up would be very nice.

I really appreciate this guide and refer to it frequently as I'm raising my Gren up. Having a Dragoon, I've fallen in love with Crit Damage and so I intend to get a light set for my Gren (I cannot do a CP set--it's beyond my ability).

Higher levels of adrenaline is the only ASPD you'll need.
