While tanking 5-10+ mobs at same time you feel the difference (example: 2700def - 5000def)
You will not feel too much difference tanking Raid Bosses, but i think even having -100dmg for 30min is a good thing.
My advise for everyone would be the next one:
If you are not a tank, don't go further than 2700def, u dont need it.
But if u are a pure pve tank (like me), every single point of def will help you. And no, you shouldn't enchant Def on ur armor after lvl60.
Just with Protector buffs u can easily reach 4K+ def.
That's my opinion, i hope it helps.
