If you don't have the elu she won't procede, so those failures on upgrade were normal "earned" fails. Sorry for the bad luck.

i'm glad not informing the requirement of an elu in the patch note and losing 1k brownie points was "working as intended"

You misinterpret.

If you do not have an Elu she doesn't take your points and won't allow you to upgrade.

There's no animation on a failed attempt, she only says something about her hemorrhoids or something.

Care to explain how to warp bots since you can't place warp under the character? There's more than a few non-humans that I would like a date with.

Ice Wall + Bowling Bash, Manhole, etc.

However Manhole can't be used in towns.

Hilarious because on Rake Horn Scarab gives more exp than a Ancient Tree.

For a level 145-459.

Ancient tree
Base Exp 7,000
Job Exp 5,250
Total = 12,250

Rake Scarab
Base Exp 6,641
Job Exp 5,695
Total = 12,336


Honestly I'm glad for that turn in.
The entire point of these quests was to get people to party when pretty much every class can solo scarabs, while you will need a party to kill these in any reasonably fast time.

300k hp isn't THAT much, it's only 5x scarabs HP. Lets put it like this.
Class can hit 70k and can one-hit scarabs. 4 of the class together? all use there skill, one tree is dead. Slightly slower than "all going for different scarabs" and less exp but that's the whole point of partying. It'd be nice if the EXP was buffed but w.e.

She's not supposed to even attempt the upgrade if you do not have Elunium in your inventory. I ran out of Elu while upgrading and she gave me the heads up. You were informed before upgrading that you would need Elu (says it in red). You may have just picked some up and forgot about it. If not, well then you got a LAME glitch and you should probably file a ticket. /ok

We always went in a party doing scarabs/bio 2. Even invited classes that didn't really "helped" the party in any way because there were extra spaces (and hey, using gwing for a 12 person party looks cool). Now, however, people are gonna be forced to get "classes that matter" in the party. Which is quite sad for those lesser needed classes... Also if it took us 15 minutes to kill scarabs and 1 hour to kill bio lab 2 monsters...I don't even know how long it's gonna take for the ancient tree ones
