1.Genetic's homun has to be evovled lvl 99 allows you to evolve to the new ones.
2.There is a special npc that let you start this process
3.You start a quest through the NPC and make your homun into an embryo state for evolving process.
4.While the homun becomes an unique embryo (misc. item) you cannot use any homunculus skills.
5.Through the quest, you can evolve your homun into one of the five new homunculus
6.If you want to choose which new homun to evolve into, you need to pay certain amount of zeny. If you want random, you do not need to pay.
So im at work and make it short.. basically you can 150 your new homun and choose which ever one you want to evolve it to
at work.. ill update more in a bit

Do they know how long it takes to bring a homunculus to loyal not to mention doing it again after evolving it?
Because they didn't increase the rate of intimacy growth per feeding, while anyone with simply enough dedication can go from a new character to 99/70 trans in just a few days.
Not saying that they should reach loyal *that* fast, but its clearly a problem when it can literally take a month to reach evolved loyal when you *are* actively grinding the things loyalty.
IMO though homunculus loyalty has always raised too slowly, but it never made or broke their usability so it was never really an issue, except for maybe lif which as far as I'm aware was still underpowered with her evolved ability.

also Eira's Silence breeze removes the following status effects: Howling of Mandragora, Harmonize, Deep Sleep, Siren's Voice, Sleep, Chaos, Hallucination. I think we've found our top tier homunculus

Or, like, anyone that makes a new alchemist. My homun has been evolved loyal for years. This really puts a damper on people who afked it to 99 and have low intimacy, huh?
Since like I said, there's a really huge discrepancy between the time it takes to 99/70 a brand new character and evolved/loyal a homunculus.
And unlike evolving it with a sages stone in which it gets a minor stat boost and a special skill that most homunculus don't use, the homunculus S evolution is really required for it to keep up with the alchemist after lv99.

The chemist can just feed it the whole time till 99 and then while grinding through 150. It's not like genetics need their homuns.Or, like, anyone that makes a new alchemist.

I'd kinda guess that the same does not necessarily hold true to even any significant number of players seriously looking to 150 their genetic. Also, I'm a non-competitive brewer (who, yes, decided to go job3); my vanilmirth has been an indispensible help as a tank for cart cannon in just the three levels I've gained since job changing back in june.
Really looking forward to this update~ It'll be nice to not have to leave my homunculus in a resting state when leveling for a change.

According to this it shouldn't be allowed to go past level 99 unless it's loyal:
1st Evolution Homunculus will have its level cap raised to 150. In order to level past 99, the homunculus must at least be at 'Loyal' status. In this case, only the homunculus' Skill Points and Stats will be increased.
Edit: He hit a poring
