Sooooo I got that update then when I log in as usual then attempt to get to the character login screen and I see a bunch of purple people in the loading screen. It either crashes or NEVER actually loads and gets me to the character screen. A little help pwease.

Sounds like some files got corrupted. Try deleting the "patcher.id" file from your Dragon Saga folder and re-patching, and if that doesn't work, you'll probably have to fully uninstall-reinstall the client (that's the only solution that worked for me).
If you do have to uninstall-reinstall, I recommend using this process as it will require less patching and should be faster overall. Also, a fully-patched client download should be made available as early as this week if you're still having issues.
