I remember there being a topic with more information on how to go about getting your name changed for returning members with _L (and such) by their names.
I have tried to look for it and can't find it, or it was removed. I remember the topic saying the GMs were allowing one free change with this?


Either way I would like to get the _L taken off one of my characters and need to know how to go about doing that before I just blindly send in a ticket about it.

Also, yes I looked in "Information for Returning Players", all it said was I could put in a ticket. I'd like more information than that.

You just have to put a ticket in and they will let you know what to do from there

Just explain you're a returning player, etc, etc, and you'd like to have your name fixed.

I believe its Account Related Issues -> Character Issue

I haven't put in my ticket yet because I'm not sure what they want when asking for account ID.

I'm not sure if it's a series of numbers, or the name of the account I log in to in game.

If it is a set of numbers, where do I find it? I've searched and come up with nothing.

Also, pro tip - all that information (account, server, char name) that you enter at the top of the ticket, also enter it in the body of the ticket. About 50% of the time, when I submit tickets, I get asked for information that I had filled in at the top.

To rename chars with a name ending in the _L (or _whatever) that was added during server merge, there is no charge. Namechanges for other reasons are treated as a value added service, and have a fee associated with them.
