I'd like the same thing done with dungeon-entry items the BioLab Pass or the Feudal Lord permit. I'd rather not deal with these things taking up space, and just have the NPCs automatically recognize (through cookies), who is an Eden member or who has done a dungeon entry quest, and so on....
Another thing: If one gets rid of some Eden Gear, because you didn't want it in the way when you sort through other equipment, give an option to get a free replacement. OR maybe, make it impossible to NPC-sell Eden gear and instead have an NPC within Eden called "Gear Storage Representative" who will hold onto a character's acquired Eden gear until they're ready to retrieve it. Thus preventing Eden gears from taking up character space or Kafra storage space.
While I'm on that note, have a way for characters to get ALL of the Eden Gear, even if they started at a later point. My priest was Base Lv 70 when I came back to RO this year, and I decided to get him some Eden gear. Little did I know that once I transed, I was prevented from getting the lower-level Eden gear as a High Novice/Acolyte. Which made grinding back up to 40 a lot more tedious. What an unpleasant surprise....
Thanks for reading my ideas and I hope the Dev team will at least consider them.
TL;DR
1)Replace the Mark of Eden and Dungeon Entry items with a script cookie. (so we're not stuck with an item that can't be removed from character)
2)Allow players to get all equipment once they've joined the Eden group, even if too high in base level for it. (not if too low for it, obviously)
3)Allow players to remove the "Join the Eden Group" quest from their quest log. (they can still choose to join it later)
