oh note, if i can take 2 double megged endowed stormblasts (on a pure sb build rk) with asprika on my sura without potting, do you really think i will die to 1 stormblast on a dr? your example is just full of theories

you can take him with a asprika, 70% damage taken with just asprika alone vs 150% damage taken with dr alone, ya that's more then double damage right there unless the rk is a retard without any converters. BTW i have all those items i don't ever bother using a DR if i get gfisted i can ether hide it or put on a valk mant and take out the sura with me.

Suras die to their own GFists if the opponent wears a Valk Mant? Really? In WoE? And what if they're using Ruwach/Sight on you? Hide sure is gonna come in handy then.

It depends on the opponents other equips too but it is possible. Don't forget that item reflect gear are calculated before WoE damage reductions so you are still reflecting a % of the original damage before iRO's -50% damage reduction. That means with a +10 Valk Manteau, you are reflecting 50% of the damage you take in WoE. Add that to other reflecting gear and skills, some classes can easily get 90%+ reflect in WoE like Shadow Chaser and RG without any MVP cards.

Oh this is good info. I just haven't seen anyone die to a Valk Mant's reflect with GFist in WoE yet. I mean I know Chasers/RG's are the exception, but the rest I was sure couldn't reflect GFist to the point a Sura would die in WoE.

90% of gx are bad and still default katars. any armor and dr garment are items that you toggle through in woe/pvp. the fact is that a lot of people that own such items default them or are very slow in toggling gears. it's not hard to switch to a gr/dr for gfist/etc when gfist isn't even near instant anymore, and if you're decent and not disabled a sura should have to cc you before fisting which makes it even easier to swap

GR is more generic than DR, since it doesnt have nasty penalties associated. For their benefits though DR is better than GR in terms of tanking GFist, much more so with immune shield.

And yes anyone defaulting DR OR GR in woe is just asking for trouble. DR is hands down the best possible PVM garment option though short of MVP's that use magic.

The reason DR is currently worth 5-6bil on Valk is because its very new/few of them, you have very rich people that want it and frankly to that group of players 6bil isnt much zeni anyway.

Well until they introduced VIP you couldn't even get the card, so it's only slightly more common on valkyrie than on yggdrasil, except the market is hyper-inflated on valk.

That and I'd say default both on valk is at least smarter than defaulting both on ymir. At least everyone plays sura and genetic which are mostly forced neutral anyway.

Dr immune or asprika there is no one best garment does all, learn to switch between a mix of them for the best results.

Hotkey your gears, makes life very simple... Keep your DR Nid for that Gfist, it does have a cast time. I am not too into game physics, but hotkeying gears that reducs different properties seems to be a necessity for PvM, PvP and WoE. Even cheap gears can save your butt in different situations than that couple bill gear set. All in all, use your hotkeys for gear sets.

The time I knew these things came to my server with those OCAs, most ppl are "spend $eny to win", my server has high population of ppl like this, reason why most of my friends already started to quit again this broken game.

here's 2 situation. assume there is like, 5-10 min left to end of woe.

1. you are a sura. you wear no dr, you die to another sura's fist. you spend about 30 secs buffing up, warp back, stat food up. you died at pre-emp/emp room before, so it'll take another 30 sec - 1 min to come back. when you arrive back, the same sura fisted you out again. then that opponent sura goes on fisting more of your guildies.

2. you are a sura. you wear a dr, you survive a fist, and in the mean time you'd fist back the sura that just fisted you, killing him/her, then spend the next 25-30 secs killing another 6 opponent. you distract the opponent guild, took some of them with you while you try and defend off them; you buy your guildies some time to come and help you. perhaps allowing a recall somewhere as well.

note this is just an example of the situation. is DR really worth 6b? imagine if the castle is the infamous meg/sleip fort that has 100 econ, with its piece valued at 1-1.5b

then a SC or a WL comes in did a WI (no element change) then boom 2x death of pain from ghost element damage. oh btw some rangers use ghost and shadow, im sure ull die with few hits w/ fear breeze + 193 aspd.

Honestly its not the gear thats bad, Its you. If you honestly dont know how to use them properly of course the card is going to be garbage. Just because you dont have enough for one or you think its overpriced doesnt mean you need to try and slander the cards value. People do this all the time in irowiki forums on price checks and I believe its called trolling. The reason these 2 cards hold a lot of value is because of the massive amount of bad suras that like to fist everything and anything that they come across. The only reason there not going to be worth the price of 6b is because of the 10 second delay of sp items after gfist implement there going to do. The amount of suras will dramatically decrease and the need and want of DRs/GRs will go down as well, thus the price will.

I would rather survive the fist and take out 8-10 other players. The point is survival and you would rather die which is kinda sad because you know how to hotkey gears. So I've come to the conclusion that half the other people reading your posts have. Your obviously stupid.

DR GR is good, but im fine with holy glorious armor and an immune/asprika.
