This guy right here rips off more headgears than you can count! On top of that he looks like a poring!

But then again... Are Porings not just cutified "slime" type monsters reminiscent of old tabletop RPGs? Obviously the inspiration is there, but the Poring itself isn't wholly unique.

It looks like a "similar, but legally distinct" setup here. If you look closely, they have little tiny unattached hands.
Don't know, but the Angeling looks VEEERY familiar to me. I belive it is traced directly from an official Artwork.
Also, there was an EXACT Poring copy on the Banner that brought me to that trace (funnily, the banner was on a RO forum...)

Well
This guy right here rips off more headgears than you can count!
Anyone here ever played Dragon Quest? They were one of those first RPG's that came up with slime-based mosnters.

I know the DQ slime, but it looks nothing like the poring. It has very different eyes and mouth.
I'm playing another MMO I won't name, and there's an ingame piece of artwork that's supposed to represent the slime / rabbit monster, but it looks exactly like a poring (same freaking eyes and mouth and pink) but has long ears hanging down from its head. It IS a poring <.<

Most slimes are upwards, like the ones of the Final Fantasy series.
There are only very few games that are kinda "round".
The slimes of Dragon Quest are unique in their kind of eyes.
The only monster that should be older than RO and has similarities are the slimes from Secret of Mana actually.
But still they look different.
Poring just looks cute, and like a gelee drop that is dropping up... and it's easy to see if it's ripped off or if it's just a mere slime.
