You can get any character, save a soul linker or brewer/forger in 99 in less than a day with eden equips.
Just gotta know how to do it.
Need a power grinding tutorial?

No point in spending that much on a non-third class character lols.

we have this monster level xp boost/penalty system.
For power grinding a nub you want to find monsters 10 levels higher.
When you fight a monster higher level than you you get more XP. This is true up
to a monster +15 levels higher. After that they only give 40% of their XP value.
+10 level monster give 150% XP. Use the iRO Wiki Database To help you
find monsters. Every 5 levels you gain change mob.
Now there's the eden group. There is a "X" on the Mini Map in most towns.
Talking to the NPC will take you inside their base, generally chock full of peps. Once signed up
you can go equipment, monster hunting, item delivery quest. You can take more than one quest at a time.
There is also Overlook Dungeon, a VIP dungeon (levels 30-70?)with good xp and item rewards for each level.
I've found it best in a party of 3.
Weapons-weapon attack in good in renewal.
For instance: Quad Elemental Composite Bow-best damage pre-renewal
Double Elemental Gakkung-best damage renewal.
The weapons base attack and upgrades actually add meaningful damage to your attacks.
If you are starting out as a mage class upgrades now add Matk on staff weapons.
One last important thing...renewal monster require a bigger investment of dex to hit them.
Get 40 dex asap. Then gradually increase it. For a non-trans i recommend aiming for 60 by 85
and for a trans 80 by 99. Plenty of players however have 100 dex.
Really make sure you hold off on buying gear until you have researched what people are using and why.
Also check Ragialfor market activity for the server you are on.
Got any specific questions you need answered?

Wow thanks so much for the help, I can see that Ragnarok has changed a lot since the last time I played. Before it was all about the money you had to buy the best weapon and just grinding out lvl 99. Now do people still just grind out monsters +15 levels of their base level or do people mostly just do the eden quest to level?

because I'm so familiar with in game monsters. I know to go kill monster X instead of monster Y
because X has a better spawn rate even if they give the same xp.
So remember the key monster level is +10. That's 150% xp received based on server rates.
Hang on to your 200 mil. If you can tell me what class you are thinking about playing I can help
you find inexpensive gear alternatives that will get that job done without leaving you zenyless.

Yeah I was surprised when I came back too. You can still grind the old fashioned way but it is much slower than picking up Weekly turn in quest: http://forums.warppo...patching-oct-4/ "New turnins"
You don't need to grind as much as the old days.
