I recently downloaded iRO. It ran fine right up until it randomly froze my entire system. After a reboot, RO will not start up. It goes to the patcher, which seems to work fine. When I press "start" I get this series of error boxes, in order-

((Error Box Header)) LUA Files\DataInfo\NPCIdentity
((Error Box Content)) [string "buf"]:1: invalid control char near 'char(0)'

((Error Box Header)) LUA Files\DataInfo\jobName
((Error Box Content)) [string "buf"]:1: invalid control char near 'char(0)'

((Error Box Header)) LUA Files\DataInfo\PetInfo
((Error Box Content)) petinfo.lua:2: attempt to index global 'jobtbl' (a nil value)

((Error Box Header)) LUA Files\DataInfo\accName
((Error Box Content)) [string "buf"]:1: invalid control char near 'char(0)'

((Error Box Header)) ReqAccName
((Error Box Content)) LUA Files Source\LUA Files\DataInfo\accName_F.lua:15: attempt to index global 'AccNameTable' (a nil value)

This last error box keeps popping up no matter how many times I push ok, so I have to shut down RO from the control panel. I cannot get to the actual log-in screen anymore.

Since "LUA" is less than four characters, I cannot perform a forum search on "LUA Errors" (the min number of characters the search features accepts is 4). Are there any fixes for this strange problem?

Running Win7, tried running both RO and Setup as Admin to see if that would solve the problem. No dice.

This looks like data file corruption - god only knows how it happened. I'd also say the two first errors are the root cause of it. Unfortunately, I think those files are inside the grf, so your best recourse is to uninstall completely and reinstall.
