hi, i am thinking of getting WTFast due to unstable ping while playing RO

i've tried the trial and i am very happy with the result.

but when i was abt to subscribe, i had two options, basic or advanced.

seeing that advanced is twice the price of basic, i am assuming advanced is way better.

but thing is i do not wish to pay $10 USD for ping reducer like WTFast.

what's so better abt getting advaced? is there much latency difference? (ie, with advanced, u will get better ping??)

help ppl =S

Lowerping offers all the features of Advanced (plus more) and is cheaper than WTFast.

http://www.lowerping.com/

Only benefit of WTFast over Lowerping is that Basic is cheaper. Basic just means less servers (so if it gets crowded, worse connection) and you lose some features such as the ability to change ports (if you are for example using work/school connection that blocks some ports).

The biggest difference between WTFast basic and advanced is that the advanced version lets you try using different ports if your ISP is giving you problems with traffic shaping. If you get good results with the basic version, you probably don't need the advanced version.

None of our servers are overloaded.

If you use the promo code: WarpPortal - you can try out WTFast for free for 7 days, and WTFast actually is cheaper than LowerPing if you don't want any of the advanced options.

Depends where you live. You need to remember banks charge a conversion fee for paying US Dollars. Plus the USD is higher at different times.
That's why Lowerping works out cheaper for Australians.

Either way you look at it, it works out to a matter of cents difference from WTF Basic to Lowerping's full product.

If you had to choose, $100 for an iPhone from the Apple Store or $99 for an iPhone from eBay, which would you buy?

Using the promotional code "warpportal" apparently gives a longer free trial. A week's worth of time, I believe.

There was another thread about that somewhere but it was locked for superfluous reasons.

The promo code should work - if you e-mail support@wtfast.com and link this message we can manually add the time on for you.

* Maybe you put the code into the key field instead of the promo code field? In any event if you give us your WTFast account name we can sort it out.

I've used both lowerping and WTFast and both are very good (I'm currently using WTFast on the basic plan). I think it depends what you want to use the service for - and also where you live to begin with. If using it just for playing iRO - then the basic WTFast is fine. For what ever reason (playing from Queensland, Australia) I get a slightly better ping to iRO with WTFast than I did with lowerping, and as they have also partnered with Gravity (have some B2B deal?) - that's why I'm using it at this point in time.

I'd like to see WTFast make a couple of changes to their client though, such as minimizing to the tray, and also should connection be lost (this has only happened once though) that it displays something like '!' or plays a sound so you instantly know what has happened.
