You can stop trolling now..

And no there are not Max HP/SP pots that exist, and if they did they would have at least as many movement restrictions on them as Green Ale would. IE they are for personal use not for selling/trading.

Mind telling me what guild and server you were Sexytime? I would love to know why you are so personally up in arms about this. Because the average player this has 0 effect on their gameplay, seriously. But there are a few outside the norm cases that would be significantly displeased, and I want to know if this is personal or just a misunderstanding on your part of what the update actually does.

you don't woe heim, plain and simple. it is a lot more than the average player that is effected by this. not even getting into the pvm aspect, but in the woe scene, any moderate to large guild will be effected by this. the majority of players in such guilds will be greatly effected by this. sure, the average player may not be into the woe scene, but anyone else can now carry about 10x less. do you know how much skills hurt in woe from decked out players? clearly not. most players now go from carrying double to triple digit ales to single to double, and that is a HUGE difference in surviving/etc. not even going to mention the classes that dont add str or dont have pecos or enlarge weight limit (non kafra) as that will mean they can barely carry anything.

your judgement or lack of judgement on few cases that it will effect is the problem with your change to ales. take a step into woe and see for yourself what goes on before you make drastic changes that will change the woe scene. don't talk about trolling when your change to ales is the biggest troll to a bunch of people that have stocked up legitly

Your arguments are completely facetious. Your rationale is that by severely restricting the use of green ales, the bot problem will be solved. Bots introduce at most 100 green ales per week. On the other hand, botters supply thousands of ygg seeds into the market. If you don't know that, you haven't done your research. If you really are so concerned about the bot problem - and you aren't - why did you introduce spare cards again? Blanks are more heavily farmed and botted than green ales, not to say St Patty hats are only sparsely in circulation.

Your second argument is that it mitigates the damage YOU personally did to the WOE scenario. Well, ales have been used and abused since March. What have you done since then? Nothing, in spite of many of us complaining at the time. Stop feigning you care deeply about the issue because you don't give a crap. There is no reason for this change at all. Green ales have been steadily depleted from the market so why the change now? I can only suspect ulterior and sinister motives, and this won't be the first time Gravity pulls off something like that.

What's amusing is that you have no argument and have to result to ad hominems. I'm all for banning botting; I'm all for improving the WOE scene; and I'm all for taking Green ales out of the game. But seriously, you didn't even bother consulting the players on an issue you knew would affect a significant number of people.

Sexytime : I have done research, and there were exploiters found that were bringing in 10,000+ per week, far outstripping the amount of Ygg Seeds in the game. This is due to seeds normally having a low drop chance from monsters, whereas the GreenAle and St Pats hat could under exploitive means generate 1000s of kills an hour more than any field bot could ever manage at a higher drop rate too. The WoE issue was a seasonal one that comes every year due to the St Pats influx, it was around August that things smelled wrong because the supply was not drying up properly. And perhaps we should have done a big change then, but we were not close to the balance patch yet which may be updating how healing works. Now is the opportune time to smoothly deal with this issue, but it may not have been the timeliest one and for that I do apologize.

Andini : I am concerned directly about the WoE scene. And I am not being flipant and doing all I can to not take this in a combative direction. We are both concerned about green Ales, and I now know from your post that your concern is the WoE scene and not being able to carry as "much" of them. Where one of the very reasons for the change is to exactly stop that behavior. In the above link I have my reasons for why I think that is important, but I want your feedback in there about why you think it is wrong. I won't reply to this thread anymore because I would like the feedback to be in that thread instead.

Thanks to god there are still some players with gray matter here.
