I along with many others have been banned for over a year. It was the result of a glitch from a magmaring's quest that allowed you to repeatedly be rewarded. In technical terms it is a breach of contract and is subjected to account suspension. At the same what gravity does not realize, is that many of us who play this game are children. Reading the fine print and understanding the rules completely is relative to experience of the game. Meanwhile this is a relatively friendly "cute" game where people have tons of friends. At that note, gravity must realize that paying customers all have friends in game and will subsequently add to the commotion. We all love this game and truly play it for fun. Alongside that, even the kids who play, have access to real money in which they spend on this game. Some of us have spent over thousands. The fact that all these accounts were suspended shows that gravity is trying to make a statement and show that this is unacceptable. At the same time, i do believe it was handled far to carelessly. We should have been notified and at least given options since we are paying customers. A personal rollback option and return of emb's would have been the best correction. Even a punishment (in game) of some sort, would have been a lot more fair then an over a year ban. Customer service should be gravity's number 1 priority. And since this glitch was not removed immediately shows that it was mishandled. (which is understandable when dealing with a serious glitch such as this)
All i'm saying is that to remove all these accounts will result in hurting the game not helping, along with much loss of money. I for one DID report the glitch and even tried contacting the gm. And yes i did abuse it as well. I submitted a ticket after being banned and im sure many others have as well. So with all due respect, please do not make this error and try to at least use compromise when real money is involved. We all love this game tremendously and don't want to see it be destroyed. Finally i'd like to add that i'd appreciate if this thread will NOT be removed since it's in the correct category and I have given gravity a great deal of money for their great service. I sincerely feel that gravity will fix this problem and make this game enter the right path again, so both we(the customers) and you (the sellers) can be happy.

Let's not turn Ragnarok into a fiasco all due to a glitch that was not our fault. Morals and cheating/abuse put aside, in the end this is a game where we all grind and pay tons of money just to have fun with our friends.

My most sincere respect for gravity and their team,

N e 0, N e 0_II

thanks again.

I agree with Ace. While it's technically "exploiting" the game it was not done by the player's own means. It was a Gravity created loophole, and to ban these players for an error on the company's part is outrageous. There was no sign of the quest informing the players they couldn't repeat, and more importantly there was no in-game GM message to inform the players of the glitch as well. These players were blind-sided by the game, honestly thinking that the quest was repeatable in such a fashion to find out that the company made a mistake and now they have to pay the price for the company's failure to maintain their service. As a customer to this company for many years, it's posts like this that make me question whether I should keep on using a service that faults it's own customers for the company's failures. I as a player, and a huge fan of this game and this company, hope that this problem is corrected for the good of the players, the community, and the respect of the game. Thank you.

This should have been posted in Community Chat. This section's more for reporting/discussing about "technical" problems with running RO.

That is exactly my point. I'd also like to inform any future posters on this thread to please be courteous, and handle this issue with care and intelligence as Zyphiro has done. The last thing we want is a reason for this thread to be removed or locked. All of us as friends, and customers of gravity have to show that we are not ignorant and understand 100% what this issue has become. The game and it's players must all gather support on this, not fight or argue with one another. All of us, banned or not, will always love this game and KNOW that gravity will correct this.

thanks in advance for the support.

if it is posted on community chat will be probably removed from there or moved.
neo(ace) reported this after he found out this was a bug, and even he talked about on guild chat, after some minutes not long from that there was an announcement about eden being reseted, this never happened cuz no one got kicked out or something. after some time (around an hour or maybe more)there was some people still "turning" the quest. pmed oda myself probably more ppl did it, and posted it about on forum (community chat)then he asked on the same topic if it was still happening cuz it was supposed to be fixed already, after that everyone from eden got kicked by some raging thanatos (lol) till issue got fixed.
there wasnt an announcement of that it was a bug and shouldnt have been used, i even tried to test if it was true with one of my characters, after that and asking some other players, found out that only VIP were "affected" by this.
some tried to abuse it, some reported it after they knew what was going on (like neo), there was a lack of communication, imo gms shouldnt assume that players knew it was a "offence".
even more if only vip users were affected, it mean that if they got banned RO will lose costumers that help to mantain game running.
gms know already who were "affected" since a lot of ppl got banned and cuz they know, they have the logs of it. so instead banning them should use those logs to rollback each one of the "affected" characters to the point before this issue happened.

like i said, there was lack of communication, no one knew for sure that there was going to be a punishment for this, getting rollbackd to before they did the turn ins, is a punishment already since they will lose anything they did yesterday and the time that they are losing of the vip they already paid for.
with all respect its not like they were botting, and i was at that map yesterday and it was full of bots (which many of them are still there today)
i hope this issue get solved, cuz there was lots of ppl banned (some of them friends of mine) having to say goodbye to them will get down my motivation to play the game (and probably lot of ppl too).

hope it doesnt get removed.

You're absolutely correct, it is a free game. But we choose to pay money for several reasons. One, the most obvious, is that we want to level up faster and enjoy the game. Second, we are additionally helping the server stay afloat, which i'm sure gravity is quite pleased with.

I have answered you in the CC thread. All accounts that received large amounts of exp and eden items from the exploit have been locked down for the benefit to be removed and for an investigation to be conducted. Please speak with the GM Team before jumping to conclusions.
