I have a merchant that i'm planning on using to buy equips for my hunter, but he only has 709 zeny. i have some items i can sell to make a small amount of cash, but it won't do me much good. so i figured i could do one of the following: 1) i was gonna buy some composite bows, card them so that they inflict status ailments and refine them so that i could get a couple mil out of selling them or 2) buy some main gauches, then upgrade them to +9. i can't really decide which one would be cheaper and would get me the most cash, so i came to the forums for help.

Hunt Strawberries in the Payon forest and you'll get a couple of hundred thousand after a few hours. Easiest way I know in your circumstances. The upgrade market is pretty broken at the moment.

sell things on your merchant when not leveling that other people are too lazy to go get themselves

Berserk Pots = Comodo

Conc pots
Bfly wings
fly wings
White Potions

Once you have some starter gear and a decent enough level try hunting for some low level rares

Clips = Dragonfly SS of Morroc (1 hour)

Super Novice Gear

Angelic Set gear minibosses 1 hour respawn
Shield = Mastering poring heaven map (also drops unicorn horn)
Boots = Vocal SW of pront, WW of pront (also drops a rare hat)
Armor = Eclipse NE of pront (also drops cute ribbon)
garment = Vagabond wolf 1st floor of Forest Labrynth North of pront (also drops western grace and Star Dust blade "very rare")

other mini bosses that are pretty easy and drop rares that are worth a decent to very decent ammount

Angeling = Poring heaven, SE or Juno, Toy Factory 1
Deviling = Poring heaven, SE of Juno (doesn't heal)
