We are currently testing the Skill update patch on Sakray, and if all goes according to plan we will be making that update to the Live servers on Tuesday December 13th, in which case we will have a very long maintenance (8+ hours) that will likely start ~ 4pm PST.

I'm wondering if this is still the plan because I keep hearing there's so many errors on Sakray. The deadlines with the skill balance keep getting pushed back as well, since August 2011 I believe. Also wanted to make sure because if this is still happening, Valkyrie WoE2 would be canceled.

With how many things are broken I think they'll need another week or two to sort some of the huge problems out.

better to delay it, its better than having bugged main server which then leads to more problem than what we already have right now

Yes please, after having tested sakray myself I can say it definitely needs another week or so before this happens.

Half the skill arnt even tested yet seriously there is at most 50 people on sakray 99% of the populations arnt gona be happy when some these changes happen

I think it's good that they don't want to delay it, but it really does need more testing.

I think they're just over eager to have it on the mains since we're already been waiting this long.

On the bright side, there's nothing like getting fast fixes due to people quitting/boycotting Kafra Shop over a buggy update.

and there is nothing like people quiting cause the updates where not test and add even more bugs or problems. double edged sword is a double edged sword anyway you look at it.

I seriously like to know why sakray even existed when almost no testing gets down there, bulk of all test are done on main server of the 50 people on there that are actual testing usual keeps there test to there selves to begin with

and that balance patch will need to be balance, for as as long as kRO is the one at the helm seeing there the ones that screw everything up to begin with.

The patch is happening on 13th.


No bugs of a showstopper nature were found (thank god) which will allow us to do 14.1 soon after. The RKs maybe were a bit out of wack with their huge damage from LK skills and HP mods, balance sometimes means having to cut back a bit. However after the update we can then take feedback on skills on how to tweak them back into "loving it". We can't do that process until we have updated the current skill balance batch. My biggest regret is this is happening in December and not early November as it is very busy time now.

In addition to the Cash shop comment. Was just on Sakray and there were global announcements that KP had been put on accounts and they wanted players online to buy stuff en mass from the cash shop (all at the same time) to see if the new Cash shop system could handle the load.

As none of the other bugs mentioned have been fixed, and the silence from the GMs in the balance test and bug threads (and the do we get reset question threads) has been deafening, things are really not looking too good for this coming maintenance.

Nice to see where Gravity's priorities lay in regards to this 'balance patch'. Cash shop first, everything thing else... whatever.

now that's just being ignorant. GMs have made several changes to Sakray server to accommodate player testing. For skill formulas and such, iRO GMs have very limited power to make changes.
