I've been reading through some threads and posts, and some say that you can use DS as a Dancer, and some say you can't with a whip.
I've tried clicking on a monster with DS, using a whip but it doesn't seem to work lol.
Yet, I'm a bit unsure since people said it works.. .__.?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong.. D: Or idk.

DS requires a bow, which you can still equip as a dancer.

o-o just curious, can gypsys and wanderers use bow too or they're only stuck with whips? xD

Yes, gypsys and wanderers can both use bows too.

In the early levels an idea place to lvl is orc dungeon and there you should be using arrow shower to kill mobs. You can do that to about 7x.

hmm..
would you say you see more Dancer/Gyp/Wanderers use bow or whip more..?
cus i mean using bow the whole time is like.. "why not just be a hunter?" /o/.
So far im using a bow and it is waaaaay better for leveling as a dancer though.

and arrow vulcan seems really strong @__@ but i've only seen some people use it.. rarely ever see any bards or dancers attacking o.o

Ever since they nerfed Arrow Vulcan (damage used to be a lot more, and the skill was spammable more or less compared to now), whips are usually only used by gypsies/wanderers when they're using dance/buff skills that require you to use a whip in order to use the skill. Otherwise, if we're talking about actual levelling, you usually find gyspies/wanderers using bows. Before the balance patch, an over upgraded Orc Archer Bow with steel arrows was pretty much the standard levelling gear for gypsies/wanderers (toss in elemental endow too if you happen to have an endow slave ~_~ ).

For post balance patch (i.e. now), I've heard an upgraded Elven Bow, elven arrows and elemental endow is the way to go.

For some of the lower TIs, if you can't find a party, AV is still good enough to one shot some stuff (like Injustices).

I got it on Minstrel just for the sake of toying around every now and then when I'm tired of just walking with strings. ;(
