So such-and-such class is underpowered, and such-and-such class is overpowered and you need such-and-such gear to succeed and need to spend x amount of dollars in order to be good...

but how much?
If I wanted to be the BEST player in the game, what do I need?

What class do I need to play? SURA

What alts do I need to have? JUST SURA

What sort of friends do I need to have? powerful clans to give you God Items

What gears are absolutely necessary to be the best? GOD ITENS/ HIGH UPGRADED KVM

How much money do you need to spend exactly, and on what? If you buy 50k kafra points, but spend them all on worthless things, it means nothing.

Only the need to refine your main weapon/helm.

If playing skill is no issue, and dedication is no issue, what class do you need to play and what knowledge in the ways of playing do you need to have to be the best player in the entire game. All playing situations. What is the best?

SURA. Knowledge is for noobs without equipment, Just use Ygg. snap + cc+ gfist/goh.

Don't give me the "Well, it depends..."

I don't care what it depends on, what does it take, exactly, to be the best?

I'm a new player, I quit playing my hunter when I read in the forums that rangers are weak and most parties don't accept them. I'm not updated about the new changes, what made you say that rangers are pretty boss now?

Not to mention they basically have a ranged version of GFist now... Aimed bolt level 5 - not even level 10 - does like 50-60K base damage with proper element setup to warg bitten / ankle snared targets with +9 kingbird elven + elven arrows. Level 10 is even more beastly.

Before we get people in wanting to nerf us because we can hit higher AoE damage than our warlock counter parts please realize warlocks can still use shields and immune/deviant+elemental armor and reach close to the same damage as a glass cannon ranger! (~still the trade off is so wonderful~)
