hi ppl, I'm trying to decide between wand & shield or use a staff for my Defiler, "pro & cons "of each and recommendations, thanks.

agree, personally i would use a staff at lower lvl's for more Mind. defiler's mp recovery rate suck compared to tempest's + mp drains very fast bcause of the mp recovery bug

later on staffs like moonlight magic or the ruans competence add lots of Con, which is very usefull for soloing and JS;

but best (constant) dmg output comes from wand + shield.

True that wand+shield is more preferred for casters but don't forget some ranks of the staves gives more magic attack than wands when you ++ them.

And the thing I hate most is I need a double price (points, lants) when I choose the wand+shield way for my TB items from staff. Also doubled when you reinforce/enchant them too. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh http://forums.warppo...tyle_emoticons/default/icon_banghead.gif

only staff I would use is S2 root of hell or 79 staff, though ruan is nice u dun get any hp gain from reinforcing. Also with a staff u lack the res u get with tb shield for pvp,even with +30 resistance of infinite u still need to add some res on armors to max out the 3 main res.
