I also doubt there would be a Chinese New Year groove pack, but not for the same reasons.

In China, they do celebrate New Year. It is no different than in any place else. And they did not just go "Hey let's make our new year's day in February!" The holiday "Chinese New Year" is based on the Chinese lunar calendar. It was developed thousands of years ago from observation of the phase of the moon. It has nothing to do with the calendar we are currently using. And it is not restricted to the Chinese, many other cultures with long history have a similar Lunisolar calendar.

Firstly, why shouldn't there be a groove pack dedicated to Chinese New Year? "Because our New Year is first"? iRO is "international" for a reason, unless the acronym escaped you. Besides, when has celebrating a different culture ever been a bad thing? No Chinese person says "get rid of the Christmas groove pack" so why should it be any different vice versa?

Holiday is a perfect timing for sales event from business point of view. It's fair to use that strategy as long as the community celebrates that holiday.

Though I have a hunch that that Groove Pack won't have anything good at it since people would probably have 10,000 or 20,000 KP return; and as a Business reason,
It should have more useless items than useful.
