Level is insanely slow imo and if you want these tests on 3rd class to be done in any reasonable time you might wanna increase the exp rate

Yes please. We're not going to get anywhere with these rates.

thought Heim wanted it to be normal rate so that people would get a feel of how Renewal would actually be like and what monsters to hunt

I understand that we are supposed to level to get a feel for the game, but at these rates very few players are going to reach Third Class or even Transcended Class in a timely manner.

The Eden Group does a pretty decent job telling us what areas we should be leveling, so I don't think it will be an issue of everyone going in blindly once Renewal is open to everyone and off the test server.

We have other accounts to play... It's just not logical to keep the rates so low.

special (20x?) battle man for level 40+? that should be more than enough time to get a feel for renewal leveling... I'd rather test 3rd class than leveling in renewal its not hard to figure it out with the level range being listed on the map.. :\

A repeatable kill quest NPC will be added during one of the maintenances either today or tomorrow to help level faster.

Resplendent - says (4:24 PM)
is the leveler NPC going to have a requirement to use it

Heimdallr [Admininating with pinace] says (4:25 PM)
its going to push players to go to maps.
of their level
and when you do the kill quest, it will advance you to the next tier.
so there is some work to get to 99/70 but it should be pretty quick.
but more important it gets people onto those maps.

So it's not going to be a free lunch.

That's fine. I don't mind working a bit to get there. It's just that currently leveling is way to slow. We tried attacking things outside of our range and got less exp... Didn't realize the nerf was that bad.

I wish we could at least start out as high novices. It'll take forever to get from 1-99 then back to 1-99 again before finally getting to try out 3rd class. (And yes, I know you can go straight from 2nd class to 3rd class, but in real servers, we're gonna be playing 3rds that transed first, so it makes sense that we trans them on Ygg as well)

I have a feeling that people misunderstand the severity of the leveling curve. It is indeed slower early on. Sure, it may take 15-20 minutes to get my levels at level 10. But you know what, at level 80, you will be taking maybe 20-30 minutes to get a level (presuming you are using the paradise quests, which are amazing in the 70~85 range). The exp given by monsters ramps up quite evenly with base level requirements. In fact, I think I level faster at level 30 than I did at level 10...

^Which I think should be changed. Keep in mind that when people are trying out a new MMO, early slow leveling is actually a HUGE turnoff. For example, my friend dragged me into WoW *gasp* last week, and I was absolutely abhorred at how slow it was to get to level 15 and I was on the verge of quitting that early on. Then he assured me that it gets significantly faster past level 15 which is only why I endured it.

With that said, I think they should make it faster to get to around lvl 50 or so, so that new players get a good footing on the game first.

50 was just my arbitrary number. . . well not really. I picked 50 because it's close to being 2nd job, without making it "free" to reach 2nd job.
