hello do thing put on in the costume section in inventory give the bonuses they have

If the Costume Set Bonus is marked as "Costume bonus only.", you will not get the bonuses for wearing the costume in the equipment slots.

If the Costume Set Bonus is marked as "Set bonus can apply as a costume.", you will get the bonus for wearing it in either the costume or equipment slots.

For everything else, you'll get the bonus for wearing in the equipment slots, but not the costume slots.

if i right clicked on my costume there is a blue stat but when i wear it, it doesnt add on my stats how is this?

Only bonuses that say "Costume bonus only." or "Set bonus can apply as a costume." give extra's, you won't get bonuses from substats on a costume.
