They need to patch BG with the new system...
as for rewards, and re-balancing BG, that isnt going to happen, they to worried about homunculus $5 some are nerfd with super stats

They can't make anything working again.
A year ago, there are couple of threads regarding to the revival of BGs.
I also made one, nothing happened.
This one will just fill up the number of those ignored/stuck ideas.

make it so enough people want to play that it doesnt need to be farmed. this is a great bridge into pvp and woe. i used to not do any pvp or woe but i started playing a lot of BG and that led me to my first woe guild. woe is THE endgame to this game and if there are no new people joining the endgame then there is no growing population because there is nothing for people to stick to.
