I know there have been problems with this npc ( I still appreciate the fact that they put it in though)

problem: npc isn't acknowledging me

facts: ymir, baby alchemist, lvl 59, job 13, call homu, vaporize, res homu 5. Called an amistr.

is it a baby thing? I would assume I am not the first baby to try and reset...

Dialogue:
"Those with homunculus that want to regrow their homunculus can come to me from February 15 - March 6th and I will take their name down." [close]

I don't really want to send in a ticket because I did that on my gen that was having trouble and it took 1.5 weeks and my account was locked for ~48 hours. Any suggestions/info?

I'm not to sure, but if you're trying to 'reset'/'blow it up and get a new one' I don't think anyone else can do it... I think the 'eating' part was initiated 2 patches ago, and anyone on that boat will be able to get the free cordial/loyal upgrade every next patch.

that does not make sense.

Also, I just tried with an adult alchemist, and it is the same.

That's the message you get when it does not detect a homunculus, or if a non alchie/biochemist/gen clicks on the NPC. Maybe its broken again. Take a screen shot with a homunculus summoned while talking to to the NPC (with that dialogue visible) and submit a ticket.

yea i have 2 that i would love to reset but i have got that msg since the maint where it said fixing hom reset npc aka breaking hom reset npc today is the last day as well i would love to get on that boat but im stuck with 2 pre renewal shy homunculus i guess

well it would be really nice though if they kept that up for at least another week for those who didnt really have the time to do that. Not only that but it bugged out : P Hope they keep it fixed and running.

Think we can get some official word on this topic before maint tonight?
I want to know if this NPC is 'working as intended' or if I need to send in a ticket and hope for the best.

i think sending a ticket would be the best thing to do. and asking them to extend it, because its bugged at the momment, no way that a bugged NPC could be working as intended.

ok i think i got the tail end of this because of a dc but in game gms said

"Please be ready to log off before then. Also, any homunculi that was created within the last
three weeks
Will be set to just below loyal tonight. Thank you for your support"

i think they are gonna set all homs made in the last 3 weeks without the npc now i just hope i can still get on that boat because i have not deleted the old ones yet >.<

Well good news for those that just happened to make a new alchemist this week. Free loyalty without the bugged npc. Still gotta buy/find a stone of sage though.
